Calm is best in accessories and parts

I learned how to install them after 15 minutes of agony. It's still a bit confusing, but not terrible. I put them on the rear wheels of my Ford Ranger. It works really well in the snow with them (and terrible without them). Several times I had to drive through a small plow heap, like when the plow crossed my driveway and left a foot of snow on it. Both times I managed to get through the pile, but one of the chains broke. (no damage) The first time I tried to move forward with one of them. I was

Good quick fix for Honda HR-V

According to the chart I ordered size SZ335 for my 2016 Honda HR-V. The cables are perfect for the stock wheel/tire. Super easy to install; It took me about five minutes to install one as a driveway test (after watching the video). Note that depending on the wheel/tire configuration, the metal lugs may overlap with the edge of the alloy wheel (the video warns of this). In my case they overlap a bit with the standard 17" alloy, but there is about 1/2" of air between the mounts and the wheel…

Works great!: Snow chains

Purchased for our 2014 Ford Focus SE 5 door. They work great! We've used them on snowy freeways and heavily snowed back roads and they've kept us going. Note that the manufacturer limits the speed you must go at when using them, so don't plan on flying the highway at normal speed. They're pretty easy to install, but I highly recommend trying them out on dry pavement in your driveway or in your parking lot before you have to use them on a snowy roadside in the mountains! If you are using these…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Frequency

Pros: Probably three times better grip on ice and snow and you can get out of trouble on snow instead of spinning the wheel and burying it myself. I would recommend installing before leaving home, on days when your route has a lot of snow, no plowing, or 100% ice. For all other conditions, remove them. The bad: You're limited to 30 mph by the manual. the rest is the opposite. In deep snow, you might not be able to clip it in the front unless you're using it to carve a path through the snow…

They work pretty well without running over them which is great for 4 roadsides or waking up ice with no space in the driveway but going downhill. 😳 Please remember that cashmere doesn't like oil and anything else that's on the back of your hoop. Even with your sleeves tucked into your jacket or your gloves on, your shirt sleeves are likely not making contact with the tire tread or wheel hub when you make the final pull to reach the inside. Please pack work gloves. Your hands are especially…

Why are they doing this to us?

By "the" I mean the tote bag. You would NEVER want to give a customer a box that chains fit in. "Of course they do," says the manufacturer. "We put them in there, didn't we?" - yes, probably with a car. Are they trying to save space in our trunk or rather in their warehouse? Well I have news for you, I got it back on the third try, although I will tell you that an extra assistant, each of us with three hands, would have made things easier. It is enough to make the body three inches longer. This
