Was looking for a dark red ribbon and came across this one and bought it. The tape is nice and dark but when stretched it becomes a lighter red. I had to rewind my install several times as it's inconvenient the tape was torn due to glue on the edge. I used a stronger tape but never had to rewind that much either. Very easy to wrap and more than adequate length even with the figure eight around the brake covers. Nice and elastic without tearing. Looks exactly as I expected from the product images. I've used everything from $2 specialty tape to $40 super premium tape and decided middle of the road was the way to go. I prefer Planet Bike and it's the best value for money but this tape is very similar in quality but a bit easier to install making it more hobbyist friendly. Installed this strap on butterfly/touring handlebars and was pleased that it was long enough, easy to install and very comfortable. Hard, soft, no problem.
