The 4ft hose is quite limited for most applications. Get longer hose or take a 1/2 inch plastic sleeve on the end and add desired length of hose. The ball inside the siphon mechanism is prone to rattling quite often, significantly limiting the speed of the glow. Despite these 2 small complaints, the product lives up to its design. Simple, efficient and will never drain your battery like a battery pump.

I had the original siphon. The new one isn't like that. This is a smaller diameter hose, shorter and much cheaper. I inserted a curve and tried to remove the curve. The smaller diameter dramatically increases liquid transfer time. A shorter hose will also slow down the process as it doesn't allow for much pressure between the end of the shaker and the outlet end. This thing works. Even if it's a bit fussy. I'm not sure the glass ball seals very well inside, and you're struggling to get the liquid moving through the tube faster than it can flow out through the valve on the copper end. Once you fill the tube with liquid (and deflate the air) it becomes self-sustaining and continues to draw liquid indefinitely. The siphon seems to be a decent product overall but the one I received was so twisted and glued it left two big creases. I had to heat the kinks with a heat gun to fix them in order for the siphon to work. The vinyl still warps near one of the creases. I don't know how long the tube will last.
