One valve per line is better

I bought this to hook up my dishwasher under the kitchen sink. Although it fits, I did not use it as there is only one valve for two outlets. That means if there's no dishwasher - fix it, replace it - there won't be hot water in the sink until the dishwasher returns. I ended up using a tee before the usual quarter turn. I think one valve per line is the way to go.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Not sure

A great option for those who don't solder.

It works fantastic. Fast, easy and almost effortless. Worth every penny. The only reason for 4 stars is that the way they "slide" makes them easy to flip through the pipeline. It doesn't seem like a big deal most of the time, but I've just used a couple of these for the kitchen and the faucet pipe was a little stiff. This would cause the valve to rotate in a direction causing a glitch that I didn't like. I fixed the problem with some zip ties but would like it to have a non-rotating joint.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

It's amazing how well it worked, no leaks and very easy to use.

I recently installed a new kitchen faucet and it ran very smoothly but after I found a leak in the hot water plastic shut off valve. I figured I'd have to call a plumber to do that, and I didn't even know how to remove the plastic look. I found a Sharkbite valve, watched some videos and thought it was worth a try. I did what the instructions said and it installed in less than 20 minutes and was still as dry as it could be after 3 days. It helped me a lot and saved me a visit to the plumber. I…

Exit Restriction / Poor Quality Control

I installed this and recirculated the water to the kitchen sink. I noticed that where the new SharkBite was installed the hot water flow was about 50% of the cold water flow. I spent 2 hours troubleshooting and thankfully read the previous review. So I decided to uninstall SharkBite to check sockets for restrictions. As an aside, removing them from under a cramped kitchen sink is a bear, but that's another story. After uninstalling SharkBite, I checked and saw a limitation with a small hole. I…

Very easy to install

After I installed the bidet on my toilet, the shutoff valve from the extension joint leaked and because it was an old valve it wouldn't even close anymore, and every time I needed to do something I did had to turn off the main valve, I figured why not just replace the entire valve with one of these split ones. So here's the problem, this valve has the lowest flow rate in my house so once removed with the power off the water drips like crazy making soldering impossible. Since the thing is best…

I love shark bites but I had a little problem with this one.

OK so I used it for my under kitchen sink hot end valve. Upon arrival I noticed that the main exhaust was wide open and had a brass bushing with an 8mm hex hole (more on that in a moment). Then I looked into the other exit and saw a brass sleeve that had a window that was cut through to let water through, but it was half blocked so water would have been very limited. I used an 8mm allen wrench to turn the brass bushing through the main hole until the window lined up perfectly with the other…
