Just what we needed on our trip!

Hey Gang! We made this purchase because we went on a journey to get away when this virus brought everything to a halt. We went to the mountains and, as I expected, got bad weather. Mold, fungus and stench. Water got in and ruined all of our cold weather gear and blankets.

Apparently a good buy. Cheap but good reviews. Now all our winter duvets and extra pillows are covered in mold and slush. We travel by van all the time. Because 365 days a year we live in our van all the time. Since we travel all day, we don't have much money. So when we saw that we could find a waterproof luggage rack for less than $50, it seemed too good to be true. But there were good reviews. So bought and installed. Everything looked great. Worked well across the country

We bought it for a cross country trip. First let me say it turned out beautifully. Just in case I put everything in plastic bags for the garbage in front of the store. Before use, I sprayed it well with a water-repellent agent. Also, we didn't have roof racks on our car and Honda didn't make them, and I didn't feel it was worth the risk of trying non-real ones. Handled a tropical storm, hit 80mph like a champ. Won't last forever but for the price it's a good thing.

Works great despite some expected pocket penalties! Used it for a 600 mile ride. On the way we drove through a tropical depression that had just hit the coast on landfall and through the remnants of Hurricane Harvey on the way back (so very heavy rain). Everything was completely dry inside. I think this would be better used in combination with a roof basket and needed a bit of work to make it work with what I had. We made this to help us haul stuff while traveling cross country from CT to ID, ID to CA, CA to AZ, AZ in ID etc travel again ID on CT. For a while we had duffel bags and a few bags of dog food.
