If you're looking for a combination pedal, look no further.

The best combo pedal I've ever used. The flat part has a hex screw in the grips that really helps keep your foot in place unless you're riding the non-clipper side. Unlike some combo pedals, the flat side is well designed and thought out. The clipless side works well and is easy to access. Overall, the pedal is very well designed.

Pros
  • Solid finish
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Very light action. on Parts & Components

The only downside I see compared to a traditional SPD pedal is that the spring tension is quite weak even in the highest position. Considering who this pedal is for, beginners and casual riders, I can see why they made it that way. It also comes with a reusable SM-SH56 cleat, making it harder for experienced riders. So I run with the SM-SH51 cleated shoe, which suits me best.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • No instructions

Do not buy! These are used products!

As you can see from the video and photo, this is a used item. You can see that it was scratched by the user before you saw that the box was also used. Revain and this supplier cannot be trusted. Nowhere in the description is it indicated that the products are used. I have the same petals and can see the petals are a great product. They are lightweight and work very well. My problem is what you get with Revain and that wing. I don't trust the product and its safety. I would not recommend anyone…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

I love these pedals. The best pedals and cleats

I really like these pedals. I hesitated to rest and didn't always want to have to rest. These pedals are the perfect answer as they allow for both options and the non-slip side of the platform. I highly recommend them. They snap in and out easily and I didn't let them pop out unexpectedly either. The only problem is the black coating is chipping and I've only ridden it for five days, only about 100 miles just on the road - no wild mountain biking, just 65 years of commuting and freeways…

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Operating speed

Best Compact Combo Pedal

Pins/set screws are included unlike other Shimano combo pedals. The screws aren't that long, but they still work as long as you're wearing non-touring shoes. They're not very wide for the platform, but the pins make the difference. The weight of 400 grams is not bad at all. Mainly use on my gravel/road bike. It took me a while to buy it since it's $80, but now that I actually have it I'm glad I did, and it also comes with a #56 reusable clip. The SPD -Side does not click loudly, even with a…

Light action - very light

Shimano make quality pedals and no Shimano pedal has ever given me any problems. I've been using A530 pedals for about 10 years and bought this newer model because. good because they are newer model. The only difference I can tell is that these pedals have extremely light release. Even with the all new SH51 cleats and the adjuster screw all the way out, there is very little resistance to clipping (or retracting). Older A530s could get awfully tight with worn lugs, so this new 'lightweight'…

Pros
  • Great for me

Love both sides of these pedals

Recently purchased for a Giant CX bike, have ridden many miles on both sides of the pedals over the past few months and I really like these pedals. Driving with the SH-56 spikes is excellent. Tension is easily +/- adjusted, and with my medium setting I have no problem with quick engagement (even when riding in a city with a lot of stops) or loosening. The flat side with the included pegs is pretty grippy, I ride in soft EVA foam trainers and have no problem with my feet popping off even on…

Almost perfect travel pedals for commuters

I've been driving 4 miles to work and 12 miles home to workout for about 10 years. I used the revered Shimano PD-A530 on my Raleigh Detour Deluxe. I recently built a touring bike (using an old Trek Jetta steel frame) and wanted similar pedals as I often switch from cycling shoes to regular shoes. They were new and a lot cheaper than the A530 but what struck me was the set screws they use as pins on the flat side of the pedal to increase grip on the soles of your regular shoes. Pros: • Color –…
