Excellent optics, suitable for camera lenses

One of my favorite lenses. High quality materials and made in Japan. I am very happy with the purchase, highly recommended

Best portrait lens on the market

Best portrait lens I own. I prefer 50mm and 85mm lenses. Bulky and won't easily fit in a bag for filming on location, but won't go anywhere without it!

Pros
  • Fits a lot of people
Cons
  • Annoys me

The reviews don't do it justice.

I knew this lens was getting a lot of praise. Still, I'm amazed by his abilities. It's a little heavy but how much glass is in there. expected. The focus is fast. The sharpness is better than I expected. And the build quality is just great. You definitely get what you pay for.

Outstanding image quality; Can be used as a weight

This lens works great with the Nikon Z7. The photos are fantastic. But was it necessary to make them so big and heavy? Not trivial to transport! Maybe it's more of a studio lens? At least it works like a weight ;-) Update 2/14/19: I see some complaints about the Z7's autofocus speed. Well I'm not sure what people are talking about. I took this lens to an indoor volleyball tournament: large hall, low light. The combination of such a large lens and the supposedly slow Z7 must have been pretty…

A truly exceptional lens

As expected, judging by the various detailed reviews you can find on the usual reputable websites, this lens is truly exceptional. This is one of my favorites, especially for portrait and event photography. It's a bit monstrous considering its size and weight, but it's really no big deal if you're familiar with pricier telephoto lenses. The large front element definitely attracts attention - plus or minus, depending on the situation. 🙂 Due to the long focal length in combination with a fairly…
