Good Price Range Parts and Accessories

This item had to be modified slightly to fit my old GE oven but it worked great. The screw holes in the element mount (on the tips of the element itself) had to be reamed out a bit as they were too small for my application. In order to mount the element in my oven, I then had to drill new holes in the back wall of the oven. Once installed, the device was fully functional again and the mods were pretty basic. I miss the tilt up (erase) feature of the original element, but that doesn't matter…

So far so good in stock Spare parts and accessories

Significant price reduction compared to the prices in household appliance stores. Everything is working fine so far, but it's only been a few months. ATTENTION when installing (especially when removing the old one) because if you are not very careful you will lose the connector on the back and you will have to move out of reach to reconnect it. Also make sure the oven is unplugged - the unit will still have power when the 'Bake' switch is in the 'Off' position. The only disappointment was that…

Fifteen minutes, we're cooking (ahem, baking!)

While it doesn't EXACTLY match the design of the original element, I trusted Revain's recommendation that it would fit our oven. Guess what? It happened! The replacement was surprisingly easy - two screws in the cover (unscrew the damn thing first!). I had to remove the back panel to replace the clips with a new item. To do this, five additional screws had to be removed. Oh the screws were 1/4 heads, so easy! And I didn't bother removing the oven door as some have suggested. You'll be working…

Saved my family hundreds of dollars!

What can I say? The heating element on our newly purchased GE line failed after 12 years. Do yourself a huge favor and instead of throwing away a working appliance or calling a handyman, spend a few bucks, buy a new item and get on with it. Installation shouldn't take longer than 5 minutes. Step by step: 1. Turn off the power / turn off the switch2. Open the door 3. Remove the racks4. Unscrew the 2 screws holding the existing element.5. Carefully pull the element forward and sever the 2 wires -

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • A few problems

I was skeptical. But ordering direct from GE should cost me $67.98. So I decided to give it a try and just see. and I'm glad I did. It is excellent. Works perfectly and I did it myself (middle-aged woman!). Be very, very sure you are ordering the correct part for the specific oven model you have. Find the numbers on your device and match them exactly. (I almost ordered the wrong one). Also, I would be in serious trouble if I didn't watch a lot of YouTube clips for my specific oven model before…

Old oven, new element.

I preheated my old GE Spectra oven (it was in the house we bought 9 years ago so I'm not sure how old it is but based on research I'm guessing 2001 ). Bake cupcakes. It reached temperature and as I put the cupcakes in I noticed they didn't rise at all so I looked around the oven. In fact, the baking element (the element at the bottom of this oven) broke in two. I immediately researched which item to purchase to replace it but had difficulties as I could not find an exact match to my model…

Works well, installation tips here

Turn off the power to the oven as the element is powered even when the oven is off. If you can't just turn off the oven, turn off the switch. Make sure the front panel display is off before proceeding. Be careful not to slide the element wires back into the furnace after cutting. If this is the case you will have to remove the stove from the wall and open the panel on the back to make the connections to the new element. This happened to me on a previous replacement. It definitely helps to…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • The list will be long.
