Sony D-NE306CK works as advertised. I bought mine primarily for use as a CD/MP3 player in a van. Music by Sony for the Vans sound system. There is some noise from the cassette adapter, but I've found that turning the volume down on the van's stereo combined with turning up the volume on the Sony pretty much eliminates the hiss.
