Fits perfectly. for fuel tanks and accessories

Buddy Curved Retaining Ring. It was a perfect fit and installed in less than 30 seconds (the fuel pump was already open).

Pros
  • Retaining Rings and Gaskets
Cons
  • Cleanliness

What I expected better in replacement parts

Worked for my escape 05, was pretty easy to install I'm not a car person but with 10 minutes of youtube and a few tools I was able to replace both faces in less than 3 hours.

Pros
  • Fuel tanks and accessories
Cons
  • There are imperfections

I do not recommend this product

I do not recommend this product. This is the fuel pump seal and retaining ring on 05 thru 09 Mustangs. The actual seal fits into the fuel tank well, but the retaining ring itself is approximately 1/8" smaller in diameter. Although the ring works, the ring can pop out of the locks and the retaining tabs will not seat properly under the tabs. If you buy this we recommend you use your old locking ring

Pros
  • Fuel system
Cons
  • Nothing here

O-ring good, snap ring not so good

O-ring fits 2002 Ford Taurus Wagon perfectly; However, the locking ring is not as rigid as the OEM. If you have a tool to install snap rings this will likely work, if you are a shade tree mechanic (guilty) and use a screwdriver and vice combo and only have two hands then good luck with that. I ended up reinstalling the slightly rusty OEM as it is stiffer and all ring grommets need to engage at the same time.

Pros
  • Replacement parts
Cons
  • Good but not great

Looks like I have to go down too many fuel tanks.

The circlip worked and is still there. Maybe it would be easier for me if I had a snap ring tool? May be. However, it took me three attempts to compress the fuel pump springs and install this locking ring. The retaining ring just seemed a bit small. Used for a 36 gallon fuel tank on a 1992 Ford E150. It seems like I have to drop a lot of fuel tanks these days and this was the first time I had an issue installing a simple snap ring. Maybe I'm just getting old.
