Spectre 9970 Intake Ford F150 Review

Fantastic looks and very easy to install. Yes, it makes a big difference with airflow. The price for the increase in performance is definitely worth it.

Easy to install the intake kit on my 2010 5.4 Triton V8 Ford F150 SVT Raptor. Acceleration feels a lot better and the truck now sounds like a beast at full throttle. Highly recommended.

Installed on my 2010 F150 Platinum. Easy install and nice to get rid of all those standard plastic bugs. Looks nice on the engine in contrast to the stick rat's stick crap. I didn't see a huge boost in MPG, but the truck seems a bit more responsive. Even when accelerating, the engine noise is average!

If you know how to install it under the hood of a car, it will be easy. It's too early to talk about the increase in gas mileage but I take great pleasure in listening to the sound it makes at 1/2 to full throttle! And the main reason I bought it was to see if it really eliminated the hesitation under normal acceleration from a standstill. And so it was. And I'm happy for that.

So far totally impressed with this cool air intake. According to my tuner it exceeded my expectations with increased throttle response and all the power plus a 3-5mpg increase in fuel economy better than before. I wasn't expecting it to be as loud as it is under acceleration, but I'm not complaining, it sounds like a beast. There were a few bugs that were easily fixed, but overall a great product.

This gives my 5.4 liter Expedition Roar what it deserves. It was such a treat to have a ridiculous maze of plastic air intake resonators scattered across my lawn. My sterilizer, the natural gasp this engine needs!? Anyway, the instructions were rubbish and I found a few youtube videos that helped. Significant improvement in throttle response and gains of 2mpg city and 3mpg highway when combined with the Jet MAF sensor on the 2010 F150 5.4L V8.
