Doesn't fit! for engine parts

Looks good but I don't care what Specter or Revain say, this cover will NOT fit a 1979 CJ-7 with a 258L-6 engine. It does not clean rocker arms or head bolts.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • It's OK

Doesn't fit no matter what they say

Doesn't fit my 1979 CJ-5 inline 6, 258. It doesn't clean the rocker arms. spent my money Luckily I can return it and am sending it back today.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • quality

I found a lot for the price. It turns out it's just a small part.

This part has completely different hole sizes for the breather gasket and no slots for the stock filler cap. I found a lot for the price. Turns out it's just a low quality part and I won't be using it.

Pros
  • One year trial version
Cons
  • Available in white only

Bad Valve Cover Product

I'm 59 years old and pretty good at fixing old cars and trucks. I'm good at making things work when it seems difficult. This product is badly stamped and worthless. The rocker arms drag sideways because there is not enough clearance on the driver's side. I've tried double gaskets and this valve cover just doesn't work. Came back with an original valve cover. Couldn't return it for a refund as it's marked on the inside of the rocker on the valve. I think you get what you pay for. It was cheap…

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Bet 80 cj7. best in engine part

This is the only valve cover I could find to replace my cover that was deformed as the Amc '81 was replaced with a plastic cover with a different bolt pattern. At first, making the cover screw holes didn't help. Not aligned properly so had to install 3 screws on one side and use extension clips to get another 2 screws on the other side. The rear hole then did not mate with anything, resulting in the spreader being used again to push the cover aside even more, and using the rod to push the cover

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
