This air intake is great for a 1983 GMC K10 with an 800cc Holly carburetor. feet per minute (NO spacer between hat and carb) with factory holes in radiator bracket for 4" pipe. • ▪︎The only design flaw is the gap between the bottom plate and the upper case. There is a ½" gap that draws in HOT air first before cold air enters the filter. Use a rubber hose cut on one side to close the gap as mentioned in other reviews.

I was looking for a single inlet air cleaner but couldn't turn down one for the price. Good quality item and very easy to assemble. I have a small routing issue on the passenger side that I'm working on, but it's due to the limited space in my engine bay. In my opinion it looks great under the hood and is way better than an open air cleaner that pulls hot air out of the engine bay.

I fitted this to my 1976 Chevy C10 from Smog. Due to the difficulty of finding a sealed airbox, this fitted my lane perfectly. I was able to cut air holes in the radiator mount and now it works as forced air. I had to modify the main body slightly to connect my thermostatic air purifier, but it only took a few seconds and isn't difficult at all. The smog specialist told me it was the cleanest air intake he had seen in a long time.

It gets 5 stars because it was very easy to make a real cold air intake out of it. The bottom part doesn't seal the top part at all. Gap. I rolled the lip down and split the piece of silicone tubing to fit the perimeter of the floor. Now a perfect seal and really sucks in all the air from outside the engine bay. deflates and keeps its shape! It was housed in a 1984 Chevy p30 RV and was just what I needed.

I ordered this for a custom car. My goal was a sealed cold air intake system on top of the FI Tech 600. Unfortunately, this unit is not sealed. At the bottom there is a 1/2" gap between the top and the base plate. This will bring in a lot of hot air since that is the path of least resistance. If you watch, that's fine. If you're using a sealed cold air system , this is not the best choice. I ended up with a Specter 9849 and 4" Specter tubes on a Specter filter. Very happy with the decision…

There is a gap between the top and bottom of the pan. that is striking. I'm just trying to figure out how to fix this. No instructions, which is weird because I feel like the pan is upside down. I'm looking to relocate my intake manifolds somewhere and I'm hoping this will help my truck run better than before. (Bought for my 88 Silverado) Update.
