Great value for money: Sport

A very economical way to increase speed. Extremely easy to install. Less than 10 minutes. Went from 12 mph to 17-18 mph on a standard club car precedent.

Pros
  • Excellent performance
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Added 6 mph to my 2012 club car precedent.

I have a 2012 club car. I removed the rear wheel and passenger side speed sensor to access the magnet on the motor. This allowed my club car to go from 13 mph to 19 mph. A quarter sized magnet is easy to install. Needless to say, I was very impressed with the difference in speed. I had no expectations that it would work, but I was very happy when it did!

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Good but not great

Installed Magnet Alignment

When I first installed the speed magnet, it didn't work. I removed the magnet as I wanted to return it. I noticed that there were 2 dots on one side and 4 on the other. I'm not sure if the dots represent poles, but I decided to change the direction of the magnet. Precedent 2017 / lift kit with 18 wheels. The previous speed is 18 miles per hour. Adding a speed magnet. - 18 mph, 4 dots pointing to black speed sensor - 21 mph. I have no idea if the dots have anything to do with the speed sensor or

Did the job - Sport

To be honest I wasn't expecting much from this, but I'll be damned if it doesn't live up to its promise. Precedent club car from 2010 with speed code 3, 22" tires and 6" lift. The cart moves up and down the slope at 15-17 miles per hour. It has an ADC motor. The magnet was ridiculously easy to install due to the lift kit. I found that the old one was broken! The car now still gets 15-17 uphill and maxes out at 21 downhill or flat. The magnet eliminates or suppresses regenerative braking, so use

IT WORKS ! and it works fine!

This magnet will work if your speed code is "3". (Share). In addition, motor recuperation/braking is eliminated, allowing for more free wheeling and higher travel speed. I put 4 of these on a ClubCar IQ with code '3' and they all worked fine as long as they had the standard speed code '3'. This magnet is a lot cheaper than the $125 most cart shops charge for setting the speed code "5" which equals 19 miles per hour. Download available, PER Cart S/N if you are a dealer for $60 from CC. +6 mph on my 2017 club auto use case

In my 2017 club auto use case with an ADC 48v motor this magnet along with a new speed sensor added 6 mph. I have stock rims and tires. With the standard magnet and the original speed sensor I would get a top speed of 12 km/h. With the new speed sensor and speed magnet, I got a top speed of 18mph. Measured with an iPhone app. One problem was that acceleration was very harsh depending on throttle position. So I sent back the original magnet with a new speed sensor. Top speed dropped again to 12…

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive

It works, but it won't give you much speed.

Honest review - 5 stars because the product worked. You might notice. I averaged 15.3 mph on my 1/4 mile dirt road with an old magnet and fresh batteries. I switched in 5 minutes and waited until the next morning with charged batteries, running both ways at an average speed of 17.5 mph. Is there a big difference, no. Will picking up a slower golf cart and outrunning them help you? Probably. I used the GPS app to get speed readings. It's not a $150 tune from a Stage 4 Tune Club Cart, but it does
