Worked: Router parts and accessories

For the price, it did what I needed. I created a desktop and needed to align it. The first photo is my jig. The second shows the first pass. It was very good. 3-1/2 HP router was stuck at 10,000 rpm (first pass) so I set it to 13,000. When I dulled the bit (hard maple) it burned pretty badly on the last run. I shot no more than 1/16 per shot and about 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch on each side. Last photo after belt sanding to remove burn marks and final sanding to 220 grit. Worth the price but…

Nice change for my milling machine

I make hobby cutting boards and sell quite a few. I recently built a router sled to speed up leveling my end boards and picked up this piece to help me. I took about one dose. boards, and this bit cuts turnaround time by about half an hour per board. I can get it up and running down the line in just minutes and start sanding right away. The bit is sharp and works well in my Bosch 1.5hp router. I will buy it again if he gets bored (although he hasn't shown any signs of it so far). The photo…

That's what you're looking for!

I sent this thing through hell last week. Paired with a 2 HP router. He chewed through about 20 feet of hard maple and walnut board. And I mean, that's the amount I was actually planning on doing, 1/16th at a time. He's still sharp. If you're into Revain and looking for the best cheap router bit to use as a router, you've found it. I will say that while well balanced it does leave some tool marks. A quick inspection with a random orbital and a grit of around 120 knocks it off instantly and…

Made a mistake (twice) and still cut nicely

I bought this to plan panels of wood on a homemade router using an aluminum angle for the router and 3x3 square steel tubing for the rails. Just what I had available and I wanted it to last. At first I only planed 24" wide, then I joined the two boards together and it should have been 48" wide, which was the extreme limit of my cutting slide attachment. I glued small pieces of plywood to keep the router from touching the steel tubes. I think I got carried away and ended up knocking off the end…

That's what you're looking for!

Last week I got this along with a 2-horsepower spent cutter, it chewed through about 20 feet of hard maple and walnut planks. / 16 at once. It's still sharp. If you're digging around Revain looking for the best cheap router bit to use as a router bit, you've found it. I'll say that while it's well balanced, it does leave some tool marks. A quick look with a random orbital and around 120 grit knocks it off instantly, still leaving a perfectly flat surface. I am buying a few more now just in case

Like many other reviewers, I bought this cutter to use in my alignment template. This is my first time using this type of setup and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a router so this particular model goes with the cheapest 2" carbide tips I've found. .Overall I'm really impressed. There is no noticeable vibration and the cutting board I used as a proof of concept quickly flattened the beech grain cutting board. The depth of cut was about 1/16 inch. Router DW625 3TE; Power wasn't an…
