Fits well on wide wheels and 28er

These fit my stock wheels with 700X28 tires as well as my wheels with wide carbon steel rims. They have a nice micro-adjust screw that makes it a lot easier to adjust the width of the pad.

all meat Without filler

Great upgrade for standard road bike brakes. These brakes are fairly easy to install and adjusting is painless. After adjustment, they stay in place. They stop the bike well - I can lock the wheels without much effort. And the modulation is great and linear - the brakes respond very predictably to increased leverage. Another great upgrade for the stock brakes.

SO Overpriced: Cycling

So I ordered these thinking they were reasonably priced and lighter than the 105's brakes. I came across a set of Apex calipers at a bike shop I was helping out at, and they are literally identical in all respects, except for stickers. They weigh the same, even the quick release tab is the same. I was furious that I lost almost $100 with them. Needless to say, I'm returning them. In the end I settled on the Apex brakes and I liked them.

You can stop if you want! Lightweight and affordable.

A very decent set of brakes. The calipers are well adjustable and if you really need to stop, you will. I am currently looking for Swisstop brake pads; I will update this review when I ride a track with new brake pads. This isn't a Dura-Ace brake, but it's very light and several times cheaper than the DA. Update: With Swisstop pads, these calipers don't have short stopping power. . Very strong and best modulation!

Cons

Good looking and working brakes, although not as light as advertised.

The set weighed 309.2g which was no weight increase over the lower Tektro which was replaced but as the Tektro has worn down they are a decent replacement and appear to have minimal flex under load which is a good firm brake provides feel. If you are looking for a solid replacement with a good feel look no further, look elsewhere for straight razors. It should be noted that I did not use the standard Swissstop brake pads that come with the kit as I use carbon discs. So I can't say anythingโ€ฆ
