🔪 Versatile 3-in-1 Stainless Steel Kitchen Gadgets: Butter Spreader & Knife Set (1) Review

My brother and his wife received this knife as a wedding gift and I had to try it on myself. I only buy real butter and keep it in the fridge, so having just the right amount of butter to spread on toast is very helpful. This is a really nice little find!

It's a bit tricky to figure out the right angle to get it working but someone pointed out a video that helps. And I've found that it's such a small angle that when the butter is set, the knife almost lays flat on a stick. It works, the angle has to be right.

So I got this oil shaker about 3 days ago and put it in the dishwasher to clean. When the cycle was complete my knife was rusty in 4 holes. I tried to remove the rust by hand before taking the photo. Nevertheless, something completely new should not rust in the first wash.

For years I've been looking for something to spread hard butter other than taking a quarter pound of butter and rubbing it on my toast. Firm butter with a "buttered" knife tears the toast. The stainless steel butter spreader also shredded the roast beef with a slight tug and pull. My wife loves it. That's really enough for me.

This butter knife is very heavy, good quality. It will last a long time and will serve as an excellent spreader due to its size. I'm happy with the purchase and would buy again although a small amount of shaving oil to keep it looking nice doesn't seem to make much of a difference. But in general everything is done perfectly, which is more important to me.

I think I came across a product that shouldn't have passed quality control. The holes are punched on the serrated side. All product photos show holes on opposite side. These holes were also very sharp and full of sharp metal splinters that were not cleaned during production. I cleaned them up with a file, but something like this shouldn't go out of production.

I would give 4.5 stars here. but only because I don't know how to deal with it yet lol. First, it's really well made and durable. It's not a flimsy tool. I think I should probably look for videos on how to hold it properly to do those curls etc because there was no video and I didn't manage to do it myself. however, it made it easier to spread on my cold firm butter, so I guess it did the job, and that's the point, right?

There are two misspellings on the packaging, which I indicated in the attached photo. Never in my life have I seen a typo on the packaging of an original product from a well-known American company. The pictures in the description clearly say "Beware of cheap fakes made in China." but I'm pretty sure that's what they sent me. I will return this item. I doubt the errors on the packaging which makes me doubt the quality of the knife. I read several reviews from customers who received their product

We store our butter at room temperature for many years, in the past some family members were surprised, but now they know that it is perfectly safe. I had high hopes for this knife. The only positive thing I can say about it is that it is stable and well made. However, this doesn't really work. As you can see from the picture, it doesn't really get good swirls of oil, and the knife is definitely inefficient at spreading the oil.
