Description of 🔩 60-Pack Steel DN Mate T316 Stainless Steel Swage Lag Screws for 1/8" Wood Post Deck Railing Kit - Left & Right Handed Thread, Cable Railing/Stair Deck Railing, DIY Baluster Hardware with Wrench Included

New deck railing design, clean and elegant. This cable railing kit includes 30 pcs left, 30pcs right hand thread lag screws, and 2 drill bit. Stainless Steel T316 material, anti-rust ,water and corrosion, marine Grade, good for indoor or outdoor usage. With our new made wrench, installation becomes much easier. This deck railing hardware fit 1/8" OD cable of railing system. The thread screws are designed for timber/wood post. It will rotate the wire rope in the same direction, which resolves the problem of twisting the attached wire. Products without Left & right will bring you hassle and might damage the cable. Length of cable should be 1-1/2" shorter than wood surface distance(as shown in pic.4); if you want to DIY a high quality cable railing system, standard 1/8" (OD) cable which was made of T316-stainless steel is recommended. By the design of Right&left handed thread, of course it can be used to adjust the tension of attached cable, so the turnbuckles are not needed in the railing system. And this cable railing won’t be easily unfixed or destroyeded. The lag screws could be drilled into wood to adjust the tightness without extra turnbuckle or tensioner. Deck and Stair Cable railing system is not only simple but also won't block your view. Hydraulic crimper is needed to connect the cable to lag screws.

New approach to deck railing

later. I thought I'd try it out. You have to work hard, but things turn out better than planned. It helps if you have 2 people tighten the wire. It helps if you have a pneumatic crimping tool (which I don't have - you end up with hands like Louis Ferrigno!). Stair corner turners are very creative. Makes up for it! It is cheaper than composite railings/guard rails. And it's stainless steel, which means there's no paint finish. The old/tired deck looks amazing!

Pros
  • Turnbuckles can be drilled into the wood to adjust tension without an additional turnbuckle or tensioner. The Deck and Stair Cable railing system is not only simple, it doesn't obstruct your view either. A hydraulic crimping tool is required to connect the cable to the screws.
Cons
  • I will add

Right system, wrong company, buy somewhere else!

I had to downgrade halfway through this work... It's the right system and ears but not the right company. Find them elsewhere and make sure they have the right key. Your unique key is completely useless and you can't complete your work (they work great and are a lot cheaper than other systems I've reviewed. Looks great, 20 cycles). only took about 4 hours. Also very helpful customer service. I would recommend 4 crimp dies, although the 6 dies recommended are not small enough.)

Pros
  • The cable length should be 1-1/2 inches shorter than the distance to the wood surface (as shown in Figure 4); If you want to make a quality DIY cable railing system, a standard 1/8 inch (OD) cable made from T316 stainless steel is recommended.
Cons
  • There are errors

As it turned out, I liked it, but.

I liked how it turned out. The ends were good, but the tool and drill that came with it was disposable. In our project we used 48 ends. We used top and bottom rails to keep the posts straight. Also, they were easy to pinch and bend so they didn't install straight. on site. I think we were barely halfway when we had to get the tool back into shape to continue and we didn't use it before the tool stopped working. We had a wrench that worked. The drill bit that came with the kit bored out once we…

Pros
  • New handrail design, clean and elegant. This cable railing kit includes 30 left-hand screws, 30 right-hand screws and 2 drill bits. T316 stainless steel material, rust, water and corrosion resistant, marine grade, suitable for indoor and outdoor use. With our new dongle, the installation will be much easier.

Update: They made changes to their tool to make it stronger.

Update (5 stars): The supplier emailed me many times about problems I had, he said he updated the tool he supplied. They sent me an updated tool. For my test, this is a round bar with forged box ends that is significantly stronger than the original bar I received with this kit. It's likely that my experience would have been better had I used this new tool. I appreciate the follow up I received from this supplier. Read my original post for tips and lessons learned from my project. Original post:

Pros
  • This railing hardware accepts railing system cables with an OD of 1/8 inch. The threaded screws are for wood/wooden frames. They twist the cable in the same direction, which solves the problem of twisting the connected wire. Left and right cause problems and can damage the cable
Cons
  • Poor manual
