Rivet nut assortment BEST (You have chosen the main size)

Summary: Rivet nuts are really useful in two situations: 1) you can't get to the back to install and/or tighten/loosen the nut, 2) you want to cut into material that is too thin to to be threaded directly. Use them with the Amjoy Rivet Tool below. Observation: This list is confusing at first but after looking at the different rivets there is a basic rivet size as well as other sizes. I ordered size 10-24 which is the main size and contains 50 pieces but also contains other sizes. So YOU chose…

Pros
  • 25 rivet nuts 5/16-18 + 15 rivet nuts 8-32 + 15 rivet nuts 10-24 + 12 pcs. Rivet nuts 1/4-20 + 5 rivet nuts 3/8-16.

Although these kits almost always have fewer fasteners, they are still handy as a starter kit because you have fewer used sizes available when you need them. There is also storage space in the box when refilling. BUT! There are actually more 1/4-20 nuts in this set, this is MY most commonly used size! The quality seems excellent. The fit and finish is good, the hardness is also good. It DEFINITELY takes longer to install than…

A good set of rivet nuts (see details). Recommended

I had a project that didn't necessarily require heavy materials. I settled on aluminum square tubing, acrylic and thin plywood. When it came time to attach the materials to the square tube I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. I didn't want to thread the aluminum since I'll be taking the machine apart a lot. Nuts/bolts/washers seemed tedious due to the quantity required (and the depth of the square tube). The thread insert was more work than it was worth. I left the project alone and waited for…
