Exactly what I needed. It was difficult to find this part for my 1997 Ranger. It's a thermistor and nobody at the auto parts store has ever heard of it. This is the extra part that accompanies the actual "valve" that I was looking for myself, the valve, and Amazon gave a "frequently bought together" recommendation. First of all, as many have said, this is NOT a flushing magnet. This is a purge flow sensor. It is located between the purge valve and the engine. It detects when fuel vapor is flowing from the canister to the engine (e.g. when the purge valve is open). I kept getting an insufficient flush flow error code on my truck.
