Precise fit. on exhaust and emissions

Exactly what I needed. It was difficult to find this part for my 1997 Ranger. It's a thermistor and nobody at the auto parts store has ever heard of it. This is the extra part that accompanies the actual "valve" that I was looking for myself, the valve, and Amazon gave a "frequently bought together" recommendation. ALWAYS LOOK THERE if you can't find what you are looking for. This solved the engine code issue.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Reliability

P1443 - Not anymore. but the next day P1445.

As many have pointed out, this is not a solenoid but a device that tests airflow in the EVAP circuit. If you have a P1443 code on a Ford, chances are the item is either dirty/damaged/simply worn out and/or the actual purge solenoid is defective. So I swapped them both out, it took about 10 minutes and no more than a MIL (Check Engine Light). Installation was just as painless as they were easily accessible next to the rider-size right fender on my 1996 Ranger. It's a job that doesn't even…

  • Free for educational purposes

  • Almost never

1995 Mazda B2300 4x4

1995 Mazda B2300 4 cyl. 4x4 293,000 miles. It's a Ford Ranger with a Mazda sticker. Any warnings that this part is inappropriate are false. How many parts that are hard to find for this truck. Connects directly. The part measures the amount of airflow. If you can measure the resistance between the pins while blowing air out, you know better than me. I just ordered a new one. After installing it I cleared the code with my scanner and drove 3 days and no more P1443 fault code. Check the 90 degree

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors

It has been working well for almost 2 years

First of all, as many have said, this is NOT a flushing magnet. This is a purge flow sensor. It is located between the purge valve and the engine. It detects when fuel vapor is flowing from the canister to the engine (e.g. when the purge valve is open). I kept getting an insufficient flush flow error code on my truck. I checked the diagnostic flow chart in the Ford manual and found that the purge flow sensor had failed. I've tried cleaning it (it's just a thermistor and sometimes debris builds…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive
