2011 NISSAN FRONTIER PRO4X

Works as a stock cover. Codes are not displayed after installation. Suggest to keep the key somewhere other than keychain. so as not to stuff your fist full of keys when removing the gas cap. small effort.

Pros
  • Handy piece
Cons
  • Vanish

2008 Jeep - Perfect

Fits perfectly in 2008 Jeep Cherokee Laredo, no check engine light or computer failure as I have seen in other Amazon listings for various brands of caps. It takes some getting used to how to use it, but it's tamper-proof and bug-free, so it's a win for me.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Some small things

Fits my 2008 Nissan Rogue

This works on my 2008 Nissan Rogue s 2wd, no leaks or anything. but I'll see if Check Engine comes along in a few months. The lock works too. I've tried so many gas caps with Autozone key, various Amazon gas caps don't work with a lock. It's just that cool gas tank that's capped.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Only available in white

Check engine light best in caps

Fits my car perfectly when I lost the gas cap the check engine light came on so I knew I had left the gas cap on. Was the 2nd time I've done it. Wanted to buy the same gas cap as on a previous purchase that was sold. Tried @reviews instead. I have to say it fits perfectly and the lock works great. So the lucky check engine light went out

Pros
  • Easy to read panel
Cons
  • Negative sign present

Make sure you have patience, give two or three tries

Easy to get in but getting it to snap and seal so the check engine light doesn't come on is tricky, takes a while A few Attempts go easy but have to keep pulling to see it pop up, start over, don't want air to get in. If you don't mind letting air in, just drop the gas to the floor instead of being about the same, but really, if you don't mind fiddling with it a few times, you can put it on and work just fine.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • So-so

Much better crud than the first crud, but still crud

UPDATE: Regret buying this one too. $35 on this AND cheaper. And another $15 for the CarQuest cap which I just had to buy, I think that's too much. On the first, the lock broke, on the second, the key does not fit in the cylinder of this junk. Never buy anything Stant says on it again. Original review - ignore. This is the one you want! Don't skimp on the gas cap. You will regret it. A COMPLETELY different experience than 10508. Nissan Frontier

Key is short and difficult to open

I bought 2 caps for two 2004 Dodge Stratus coupes. Someone drained the gas from one of our cars. The caps install easily, the only problem I have is unlocking them. The key is too short and only fits one way, so you have to try a few times to open it. I bought a cap for my Toyota and it was made for my AC Delco, the key was hands free, it had a black plastic button on the key, it was easy to open. , it didn't matter if the button was up or down.

Pros
  • Heavy duty
Cons
  • Blank

Perfect for being stranded one day

I bought this for my Jeep Wrangler because it doesn't have a fuel filler flap. I was concerned that someone might steal my gas or put something harmful in my gas tank. The locking mechanism on this lid is so poorly made that the issue isn't if it closes, but when it locks you in. I had trouble with this during my practice of opening and blocking. From time to time it will delay your key while it is still locked. You don't want that at a gas station. After a few minutes of shaking, jolting, and…
