Very heavy and not durable!

Transformer was permanently connected to my imported iron - used about once a week - but suddenly stopped working today after 6 months. The item is very heavy. Revain has better alternatives. I will not recommend this product!

Pros
  • Sturdy construction with strong cord
Cons
  • Generally OK but...

Fantastic product. I wasn't sure how good it would be.

Fantastic product. I wasn't sure how well it would work, but I'm happy to report that it starts my espresso machine with no problem, even through the brew and steam functions. It's heavy, but we'll build, and it's almost silent even under load. I will most likely be ordering a second one for the rest of my stuff soon.

Pros
  • Max power 5000W
Cons
  • Expensive

Beware of unbalanced output!

The device works properly. With an input voltage of 120 volts it produces 244 volts (close enough). However, note that the output is UNBALANCED. You get 93 volts on one phase and 131 volts on the other phase. This unit CANNOT be used to convert a 120 volt generator and power your home. The phases are unbalanced and you could damage your equipment. This is a good product if you only have 240 volt loads.

Pros
  • step-up and step-down voltage converter converts foreign 220/240 volts into 110/120 volts and vice versa.
Cons
  • Clarity

It's garbage. for power converter

Having ordered three of these to quickly fix some machines, it was disheartening to learn that none of them were ready to work out of the box. Since we were in a situation where no electricity was available (due to an electrical problem) and classes had to start in three days, we took all three apart only to find that most of the solder joints in the transformers were cold. joints, and most of them fell apart. None of them had a bottom in the case as they all fell apart as well. After we…

Pros
  • 5-year limited warranty for free! The 5-year warranty covers both parts and labour. All you have to pay is the shipping cost.
Cons
  • Communication with seller
