Works great with Windows 10, but indoor range is limited to 45 feet.

Works great with Windows 10 1903. It intelligently switches from stereo to mic/mono automatically. However, the range in my house isn't even 50 feet. It can last longer outdoors without hindrance, but for those who want more reach in a wood-frame drywall home, it's no better than the $10-$15 options. I checked mine which was taped to a popsicle stick and it was about 3 inches above the top of my monitor. I use for a range of just over 50 feet from the dining room to the bedroom. Stereo dips at…

Works with MacBook Pro

For those of you wondering about MacBook compatibility, I have a late 2013 13" MBP running v10.14. For reasons I won't go into detail, I need an external bluetooth dongle. I chose this one and it really was PnP. Plugged it in while the MBP was on (you do NOT need the included drive) then I checked the system report to make sure the mac address was indeed changed to that dongle. I then turned on Bluetooth with the icon at the top of the screen, connected to the trackpad, and all is well. Also…

KNOWN ISSUE: Windows 10 won't pair with Logitech Bluetoo audio adapter

Lengthy discussions with StarTech and Logitech, including tech support requests, have resulted in BOTH companies dragging their feet on the issue, both having pointed out the other and together, albeit separately, stating that approval must be given by Microsoft. Further web research revealed a known, unresolved, and unresolved issue with the Microsoft Bluetooth protocol. Reluctance to spend more dollars to try other mfgs BT dongles and other BT audio adapters. Summary: Do not try to get…

Terrible range, far from what is advertised.

Has an effective range of approximately 15 feet when streaming music to or from the speaker. After 15-20 feet, the music will start jumping and breaking, and eventually the connection will be completely lost. wall or a window (with a direct view of the adapter). Even with nothing between the adapter and the source, the effective range was 15 to 20 feet. To make sure it wasn't a JBL Flip speaker, I connected the speaker to my iPhone via Bluetooth and had someone walk about 45 feet across the…

Worse range than my $5 adapter

I bought this to replace a very cheap Class 2 adapter I've had for years. I usually plug the adapter into a USB extender to reduce interference and it has worked fine for a long time. He reached my porch with minimal audio skipping through my headset. My old adapter suddenly stopped working with my USB extender for some reason and didn't reach where I wanted when plugged directly into the PC. I have decided to finally buy this new bluetooth adapter. My main mistake was assuming that the price…

Not A Happy Camper - Power Adapters

I've spent a lot of time looking for the best Bluetooth adapter. I read too many reviews and finally decided this seems to be what I was looking for. I even spent more than I planned hoping it would perform better. It took me hours to figure out how to detect it from my computer and then get it working, but I finally got it. I've read in many reviews of similar products that this is an issue, so I wasn't surprised. Don't ask me exactly what I did, because I've tried so many ways to make it work
