StarTech Com DisplayPort HDMI Adapter 1920X1200 Review

Works great, surprisingly great. The picture is clear, the connection is smooth. No problem. Unfortunately I can't get FCPX to recognize it while I'm still working on it 🤞🏾 But OBS was perfect.

I work for a live audio/video production company and have used StarTech converters for many years and they work great. I bought about a hundred of these and only a few of them stopped working just because they were worn to death. Good products!

So be careful with the Revain Rhis Startech adapter which has been discontinued and probably not working. Tried all different permissions. However, when I connect a displayport cable directly from the monitor to the laptop and bypass the kvm switch, it works fine. My Lenovo laptop works fine but not HP with DP connection.

I bought this unit to set up two monitors with my laptop while working from home due to a virus. It worked great. It's well made, like all the adapters and products I've bought from Startech. It's a bit pricey for what it does, but I'd pay a bit more and know it would work — and that's what you get with StarTech.

I have an old laptop with an nVidia Quadro 2000M display adapter and no HDMI port, so I tried WARRKY on the display port and couldn't get the nVidia software to connect an audio device to audio over HDMI create. Tried adapters Insignia and Dynex. Same result. Tried the StarTech adapter and it worked with no problems. I have several StarTech adapters for Mac and Win laptops. They are cool!

Excellent adapter. Please note that this is a PASSIVE adapter. To use this, your device must have a dual-mode display port. Your port MUST be marked "++DP". If you don't see "++", it's not dual mode. If you only see "DP", you need an active adapter, which will be slightly more expensive. See the attached image for the correct sign you must see to use this adapter.

You need at least 1 of these with every new ATI card. Note, however, that this is not an "active" Displayport adapter. That means you can't do triple screens with them alone. I am using this cable to connect my Dell Latitude E Series laptop to a Samsung 50 inch Plasma HD TV. and video!). This specific DisplayPort (male) to HDMI (female) cable is exactly what I need. I also connect other laptops to my TV with an HDMI male to male cable, so I only need this one Adapter for my Latitude laptop.
