Perfect for tools and equipment

I don't usually review products but I will make an exception here. This leveler arrived a day before the promised delivery. When I opened the box, I found a solid, well-made jack. I am disabled and it only took 15 minutes to replace a bent knot. I touched the frame of the van and saw that all 4 mounting holes lined up perfectly with the previous mounting holes. Zip-zip-zip-zip and you're done, it couldn't be easier.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Expensive

Fits car lifts, hoists and jacks

It screws FAST directly into existing holes on the old one. A small (drilling) adjustment was needed. One odd thing is that the jackscrew has a completely different ratio than the factory jacks, so it has a mechanical strength advantage from tighter threads, which also means it takes significantly longer to retract. Thus, according to the laws of the lever, it has more carrying capacity. A cordless drill is VERY handy when you extend it.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Compatibility

Better than original tools and equipment

I bought this jack to replace one that I damaged on my Coachmen Catalina on its first outing. This jack fitted perfectly and even matched the mounting holes on the trailer unlike the cheap one that came from the factory. This one is also much sturdier than the original one it replaced and I will be replacing the remaining three original bushings with these when time allows. I recommend them as an upgrade or replacement to anyone who needs a 5000 pound jack.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Had a 5 star rating until it rusted!

Very strong but the bolts and some areas are weathered. It was a spare jack on our camper trailer when we had our whoops moment. (Remember to block the tires before removing them from the truck!) We installed late September 2020, now April 2021. The other three original jacks did not rust at all on our four year old motorhome. To see such a difference in quality is disappointing. But it is a very strong and stabilizing jack.

  • Negative impression

3/4 socket for wrench or drill.

I bought a Stromberg Carlson JSC24IND scissor jack (0147.2012) to make a lift for my motorcycle. worked fine Use a 3/8 impact hammer drill to raise and lower it with a 3/4 socket like I do for the jack stands on my trailer. The price was right for my purposes, the threaded rod that moves the jack was already lubricated with oil, I added some silicone grease to be safe and it runs light and fast. Many of these types of jacks warn users not to use power tools to operate them and even have ends…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • weak

Replaced stock jack, much stronger, easier to turn

This jack is used to level my Coachman Ultra Lite caravan. It replaces a somewhat flimsy jack that failed (the second one) when I was leveling the trailer on a normal uneven surface with plastic blocks under the base of the jack. It looks like an older brother (slightly bigger and stronger) and mounts in roughly the same holes as the original. The best part is that it is much easier to rotate the 3/4" head socket compared to the original. The new slightly larger jack still fits in the…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Modern

Sturdy, fits scissor jacks

Needed to replace a bent support leg on our caravan. It turned out to be an excellent compromise between price and quality. The steel on this jack was much thicker than the factory jack. This one weighs about 13 pounds, while the original was about half that size (we're talking thicker metal). Installation was pretty easy. It would be great if they had a standard bolt pattern so you could just switch from one to the other, but they all seem a bit different so they needed new holes in the frame…

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Everything OK
