Ideal for small lighting projects only

Too expensive for the price and quality. I was expecting a more reliable tool. It's not like this. It's more of a toy than a tool. That's good, but they're designed for lightweight materials. I've found the magnets to be insufficient to hold items heavier than a few pounds.

strong hands? - Schellen

Looking at the usage pictures they look great. WARNING, they are described as "light". You are not joking. This is probably intended for those welding small, light weight parts together. Apparently that's why they love her. It wasn't until 30 days later that I needed a mount and realized it would be too weak. It doesn't look like you can return them to the store. I ended up ordering a couple of larger MTF15s. Used to order "strange bullet" tools from the catalog. Now frustration is just a click

Pretty cool and useful.

I was very happy to get them and set up various configurations successfully, but sometimes my stack fell apart and I didn't know why. I eventually realized that the magnet on one of the terminals wasn't a magnet, or if it ever was, it was completely de-energized, for lack of a better term. So one of the 4 terminals is defective. EDIT: Turns out it's my fault. I didn't know that the magnet loses its magnetic ability when the clamp is heated. Don't forget to remove the clips after you're done…

Suitable for light work, keep away from heat.

I ruined one of these the first time I used it. I was TIG welding 2" x 2" x 2" boxes and forgot magnets really don't like heat. Nails later, and the magnets on one of them are too weak to hold anything now. I am however a problem solver so I can pull out these little magnets and replace them with ease screw or other adjustable device some of the holders I received had hard pivot points and others were very loose when I tried to use them to hold the bracket, I had to swap them out until I found…

Like the one that looked like

It got a star I guess at $$$. Just because it's worth what I paid for which means I got what I paid for. If it was a dollar or less it would get five stars because it would cost more than I paid, they work great if you don't know if you're welding on it or killing the magnet btw. I'm not much, but a little smarter than him, so I don't do it. This works great for holding fancy things in fancy positions (not like Candy from the club, just little metal things) until you get them together. As I…

essential on any weld bench or tool box

These magnetic clamps/attachments are the answer to my welding prayers! 4 units per set (2 medium, 2 small) are very useful for securing staples, tabs, covers in place, ready for stapling. The magnets themselves on the two smaller clamps are strong enough to hold the part even if you accidentally poke it with cored wire. You can navigate in a variety of positions and angles and work great on flat or round work pieces. You can combine more than one device to hold what would otherwise be almost…
