Bought to keep my tractor battery fully charged over the winter. The cables are long enough to position the connector in a convenient location and the panel collects enough current to keep the battery fully charged and ready to go, while the suction cups keep the panel to the hood.

I used the product on a boat in Georgia. Worked great for a week. Then it melted and fell apart. Connected via cigarette lighter. When plugged in, the battery was fully charged. 2 times he drained the battery so much that he couldn't read the voltage on the meter. I thought this product would be a great replacement for marina shore charger. I was very disappointed and became garbage after only a few weeks. It's $50 I'll never get back.

Due to the pandemic, I didn't drive my truck much and the battery was dead. I had to force. Then I got this charger, plugged it in and installed it on the dashboard. Since then I've never had a dead battery problem again. You'll have to detach it and move it to disk, but that's done quickly. I don't use suction cups...that would make it difficult to move around, but they help it stay where I put it just for the friction. It was definitely worth the price!

This 10w model connects via the fuse box with an extra plug. I used a multimeter to determine which pins were still live, even after most of them went dead after the car had been off for a while. It keeps my battery sufficiently charged for over a year even if I don't drive for a while, and even on short and cloudy days. Pretty easy to install. There must be a load to pull the tension. Note that if, like me, you use a standard battery service wire to connect directly to the battery terminals, the polarity on it will be reversed. If you are using a battery probe cable, the open end of the connector (on the cable connected to the battery) is negative and that side is positive, so you must reverse the cable going to the battery to use it.
