Great if you have a "husky " child

Our son is only 6 years old and has always been tall for his age. Now he is over 4 feet tall and around 90 pounds. We struggled with this when trying to learn how to ride our bike because all little 12 inch bikes come with crappy little training wheels. He's outgrown those bikes but still can't ride without training wheels. He has a 20 inch bike for Christmas, but when I bought the typical department store training wheels, they sagged under his weight the first time he "needed" them. I bought…

  • Ideal for outdoor activities

Not suitable for cycling

Update. I've used them on a 20" Huffy Rocket Boy bike and they fit perfectly, but the bolts that came with the kit don't work. My husband had to buy an extra set and neither the original nor the purchased nuts held the training wheels. The wheels are attached to a long free surface, so when the child rides, the wheels do not stay in place, but are lifted off the ground. My son is not a heavy boy. The metal piece itself is strong, but due to its design, the wheels won't stay in place once…

Fits perfectly! - Children's accessories

They fit perfectly on a 20" bike and are easy to assemble. Sturdy and sturdy and will not bend like other brands on the market. No additional hardware (washers) required as others have stated. A bit of mechanical common sense will help with assembly. They were bought with my son in mind. Mentally retarded, he learns to ride a bicycle. Since it has an unbalanced sense of balance, I needed training wheels that touched the ground evenly on both sides to keep the bike from rocking. Tried others…

Weird bolts but figured it out

Definitely weird bolts/nuts/washers. But you don't need anything extra if you look closely. I realized that the wheel has no bearings. The only thing he can drive is the unthreaded part of the screw. That's how it's done. 1) Insert the washer into the head of the bolt 2) Insert the bolt into the wheel 3) Insert another washer 4) Screw the bolt onto the nut to the end of the thread 5) Insert it in insert the clevis 6) Insert the washer 7 ) Use the last nut "nylon lock nut" to secure it. The…

Sturdy strong quality product

Specifically looking for a training wheel for a 20 inch kids bike (we have Trek Mystic) for our tall 6.5 year old, no bracket in two We had there wasn't a length at the axle to match the great forest wheels we used on the smaller bike. Having learned about the Sunlite brand from a previous purchase of my own bike, I was sold on it. Big Win! These things are HEAVY! No unnecessary metal. Welds are clean, which is always an indication of their strength. No details are given, but the order of the…

See photos for correct assembly. However, you need more details.

Well, my son is a bit behind physically, so we started cycling late. The store-bought training wheels were too flexible and buckled when he leaned to one side. Ultimately they failed, so we had to look for something stronger. I stumbled across them and tried them. First, I agree with other reviews that there should be instructions on how to build them. When I first got them I was very confused about how to get them to work. I think they don't provide enough equipment for their work. However…
