Find the exact size you need, there is no standard size

I didn't know that, but I'm sure a lot of people knew. in any case, the post is measured by the circumference, I didn't know that. I assumed there was a standard but there isn't one so measure and look at your old one to know exactly what size you need.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Some little things

Needs extra support

Decent price but anyone buying a seatpost of this length is probably buying the length. Considering it's so long, it should be a lot harder. It will bend slightly. I stuck a staff with a medal in it to prevent this. So still a cheap solution. It's also the softest steel I've ever seen.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some cons

SUNLITE Steel Post Seatpost

Yes, problem solved; feels solid regardless of the 2mm spec; The top and bottom are well finished, rounded (rounded). The max notch is a bit short for me, I wouldn't go more than 2/3, but that notch indicates you have more head on that 1 inch pipe. Problem solved again. Prices for what it is, for me, a little too much, but this was like the best deal this time.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Fair

Great replacement for a kids bike with a stem that is too short:

We used this along with an MX style seat from the same company to upgrade the seat and post on my son's Huffy signature bike substitute. It didn't grow out of the bike frame, but the stock rack and seat didn't fit higher for it. We have a 7/8" rack (which is what the frame uses) and it fits perfectly. Combined with Sunlite's new MX-style seat, we were able to use his bike for at least another year without spending ten times the money. much on a new bike.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Worked amazing once I hardened it.

I bought a 7/8 x 16 drop leg extension for an old 1982 Hutch Expert BMX bike which I bought at a price I couldn't refuse. Due to the fact that I'm 5ft 10" and 200lbs, I needed an extended seatpost to ride this bike with a 20" frame. I had lengthened the seatpost 13 inches and I could see that the seatpost had a slight kink and knew I would probably end up bending it, so I took some strong threaded rod I had laying around and cut it to the size of the Seatpost, 16 inch, apply some of that…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Great for 5 months Great for cycling

This seatpost has worked great for me for about 5 months. I typically ride about 15 miles a week (I commute to and from work). Today, during a long ride, the seatpost started to flex a lot. (At this point I had to walk about 7 miles). When I got home the seatpost was bent at almost a 45 degree angle. It felt like I was riding a small kids bike and the seat was barely over the rear wheel. (Yes, it was a funny sight). This post is still relatively cheap, and as other reviewers point out, even at…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • I won't say anything
