Traveled around the country with no problems.

I recently bought this because I needed a roof rack for my bike. I drove from Washington DC to Los Angeles with no problems. I installed it on my Yakima Q Tower system and had no problems - it took maybe 15 minutes to install? bike for stability. The yarn broke in Tennessee, but I had no problems. A word to the wise - remember this thing is in your car in the driveway.

This is a great rack and I feel completely safe putting my bike on it.

This is a great rack and I feel completely safe putting my bike on it. I just rode a $3,000 bike for 7 hours. For some of the reviewers who said it was pretty flimsy or wobbly, I don't know what to expect from $40. I also used two bungee straps with this frame, but I would do it with a $200 frame. This is an excellent buy for the money. Also, I lost one of the tie down straps that hold the wheels together. I called their customer service and they couldn't have been friendlier. They sent me some

Does the job but you need to know a few things

For the price, you can't beat the functionality. What you need to know: 1. The entire product can be removed without tools. Consider how to attach it to your vehicle. The carrier allows bikes to be locked, but the entire carrier can be removed without tools. I used a steel cable threaded through the posts so nobody would pick it up. 2. Lock when not in use. The trunk locks themselves work in the wind or in an impact. The part can be purchased on another site for $8 plus shipping, or you can…

Get what you pay for

I've been pumping on this rack for 2 months. It was installed on my 2002 4Runner and used about 10 times as of last week. I rode to work with the strut down (not a bike) and heard the handle twist and bounce off the roof onto the freeway behind me. I just needed a replacement grip so I contacted customer service and they told me to buy one of them. site. After finding the pen for $8 I thought everything was going smoothly until the shipping cost was $15. I bought my shelf used for 30€. So this…

Good and very cheap

My job was to put 5 bikes on the roof of my van. I bought this mount and a dual mount from another manufacturer. The dual mount was more than twice the price of this mount (but a far cry from the fancy brand name price) but it offered a more secure mount so I bought another of these rather than two more to round it out. System. As I have 5 bikes to transport I leave this one and put it between two doubles. Not bad for the price, this mounting system is suitable for transporting your bike to a…

In my opinion too much moving back and forth. Cheap frame.

What do you expect from a $39 bike rack? There are times when cheapness works, but I don't like it. I personally wouldn't trust this device to keep my bike safe on any road. I tried using straps for extra stability which helped but it made the whole on and off process more time consuming. The support arms on this stand didn't seem strong enough; Some of these may be a fault with my roof rails, but these are Subaru factory rails and I'm sure they're average strength in the industry, so the width

It works! on bike racks

Really works! It definitely looks and feels cheap, but for $40 it does the trick! I was a little confused installing it, but once I figured out what I was actually doing, everything was a breeze! I was kind of hoping it would be easy to remove, but I probably won't remove it from the car unless absolutely necessary. As for mounting my bike it's actually quite easy, the lock for the bottom bar of the bike is a little fiddly/weak but it works and keeps the bike in place. I have a huge 2019 27.5…
