I don't like wearing earplugs so I bought them mainly for the hearing protection advertised. PROS - comfortable on the ears thanks to the ear pocket, thick + lots of stretch without fear of tearing. CONS: Some water still gets into the ear pockets (from the tiny space between the jaw and earlobe), but not as much as my previous cap. So I keep these.

I love this swim cap! It's stylish and fits perfectly, keeping my long hair dry and protected while using the pool. It saves me time at the gym as I don't have to wash/dry my hair. I gave this one star because it didn't do what it was supposed to do for me. It didn't protect my ears at all. It actually leaked water, and then the water pooled in the small 3D area of the ear, splashing around and making swimming more uncomfortable. It didn't dry out my hair either. Within 10 seconds my whole head was wet. There is nothing to complain about in terms of material and color. My hair is medium length just below my shoulders and my ears are considered small.

Bought because it claims to be waterproof which is NOT true. I was about to have ear surgery and needed to keep water out of my ear, thank goodness I was skeptical and also used a backup in my ear (petroleum jelly coated cotton balls). I really wanted this hat to work. I swim in the pool with a snorkel mask. Maybe it broke the seal? I have no idea but the cap seemed quite snug when I first put it on. I didn't have lotion on my face or slippery things to get the cap off. It was VERY comfortable on my baby head. But. After 40 minutes of swimming in the pool I could feel the water splashing around my ears! I had earplugs ONLY AT THE EVENT, but the flat design of the earplugs doesn't bother me at all.
