After many months of searching for the best home NAS, I bought the Synology DS111. After a few weeks I was very satisfied. It's fast, very quiet, it was incredibly easy to plug in the HD (I used a 2TB WD Caviar Black WD2002FAEX), plug it in and be up and running in very little time.
