Never buy, item lasts 3 weeks.

This is a defective product. After only 3 weeks of use, the coating has swollen. The handles are loose and will fall off very soon. See photos. If it's possible to set 0 starts, we would. Also the return window is closed, looks like pure scam.

Non-stick coating

We really liked this pot, but after a few months of rather light use for soups, gentle hand washing and 3-4 times in the dishwasher we had to toss it in the kitchen dishwasher. Garbage! The non-stick surface started bubbling up inside and completely disappeared in a series of small spots - looks very unsafe.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • A few little things

Just a few years

We loved this pot. Until you love it. As others have noted, the bottom non-stick coating peeled off the metal base and bubbled until it came off. A great way to add toxins to your food if you haven't noticed them disappearing. It's not a scratch, it's a large 3 inch patch of substance that bulged and then came loose. So good while it lasts, but you gotta watch it

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Legacy Model

Excellent heavy pot

This 8 liter T-Fal pot is made from thick aluminum with a very thick base. It fits perfectly on our glass plate burners and conducts heat better than anything we've had in the past. So it might be worth trying before you lift it too high and damage the finish. Our burner dials range from 0 to 10. Simmer at 2 1/2. You can bend this pot with a sledgehammer, so be careful. Do not glue inside and outside. Very easy to hand wash.

Nothing sticks to it

I have one of the new sleek hobs that came with my house and I wouldn't choose it as I prefer gas. However, my copper-bottomed pans seem to warp a little, and my Calafalon pot has hot spots on the bottom that burn when I'm making jam or soup. I bought this pan and it works great with my stove top as nothing sticks to it. Even soups based on milk and cream, which always stick to the bottom of the pot, are easy to clean. It's a good size too. I gave away the copper-bottomed pan and only used it…

  • Expandable

I bought this a few months ago but have only used it twice just to boil water and each time it created a layer of bubbling plastic that spilled into the water flakes off. It seems unreasonable to take it orally, which is why I gave up using the pot after my second attempt. It also deformed so easily that one side went flat, making it impossible to attach the lid even after trying to correct the shape. To be honest this is the most non-functional and disappointing T-Fal product I have ever…

good size for sous vide single servings

I have these for sous vide single servings (steaks etc.) As the cooking element has to stay submerged I needed something fairly deep but the deep enough pots that I had were at least 12 inches wide. It's nine inches wide and eight inches deep, so it uses just over half the water my 12-inch pot used, meaning it heats up a lot quicker. In addition, the water has a smaller surface and therefore less evaporation, which can lead to the hob no longer being properly immersed in the water and switched…

We are very happy with this pan.

We bought it because it was cheap and I messed up my old wife in a little "science experiment". Anyway, we've cooked with it 4 times since we got it a few weeks ago. It seems to distribute heat really well and the non-stick surface is amazing. My wife made a very thick potato soup, and as I tipped the pot on its side to get the last bite, the soup started to peel off the bottom of the pot. You can wash the item by rinsing it with water every time you like. Another thing to mention is that I…

Complete junk, fake "lifetime warranty "

This pot is ultra cheap junk. How hard is it to make a decent pot? Apparently very hard on T-Fal. Assembling the lid was a challenge from the start of collecting water where the handle attaches to the lid. When the cheap plastic handle just broke, I contacted T-Fal support. The person I spoke to said he would email me with the information so I can include pictures of the problem with my reply and then he would work on replacing a cover for me. Of course, the email never arrived. Sent a message…
