T1A 1995 2004 Exterior Replacement T1A 69220 35020 Review

This is the third grip I have installed on my 2002 Toyota Tacoma. I paid less than $20 for this part, the dealer asked about $150. I don't know why they keep breaking open, but luckily one door at a time. If they both go out at the same time, you're screwed. Do yourself a favor and buy 2 just in case.

Bought April 2019 and broke 11th November 2019. I wrote to the company, let's see if they have 12 month warranty. Was working fine until this happened. I've even been gentle with it as it's the second aftermarket pen I've bought. Enough, I will look for the original part and spend extra money on it. Well, the company never honored their guarantee and never contacted me.

This was one of the best door handles we have purchased. First let me say we love our Toyota Truck! However, PLASTIC door handles burst! No matter what brand makes them, they all need to be replaced within a year. This brand has lasted a little longer but not enough to justify 5 stars. Once those door handles are gone, they become an annual feature of the car. On the plus side, installing the handle doesn't take that much time, but it's still a hassle! Hope that helps.

Some cheap (Chinese) taco doorknobs don't have a plate to grip and the plastic feels really bad. This is very close to OEM at 1/6 the cost. A few big things I liked. The weatherproof rubber around the grip is thicker than the cheap ones. Also, and a BIG point, this pen has an inverted cymbal in the grip, just like the OEM. This part could be better but for less than $10 you don't get the same OEM quality. The first thing you notice when you unbox the box is that it doesn't have the textured finish of the OEM part and it looks like it's a different plastic blend. The back pad/support piece is too loose for the handle and won't hold up when the handle is attached to the car so I smeared some silicone on it to make sure it's waterproof and also to make it easier to install. My doorknob was causing seizures for a while so I ordered it. I dismantled the door and realized that the problem was not in the handle at all, but in it. The locking bolt closest to the locking mechanism has fallen out and the pressed-in nut on the other side has come loose. Also due to the increased wear of the handle due to the loosening of the large rod clamp, it is heavily worn. There was nothing wrong with the original pen.
