High-Performance Taramps Smart 3 Mono Amplifier - 3000 Watts, 1~2 Ohms, Class D Review

Not a lightweight to drive a very spirited amp. If your power supply is not 0.000000001% perfect, you will have trouble putting it into protection mode. I did a lot of stereo installations in my time. That being said, I see the potential of the amp, but to me it's more work than it's worth. Save time and money upgrading your power setup and just buy a better amp.

I love smart 3k! 0 power and ground sensor. LEDs. RCA input and output connector. 2 fans. 3000 RMS at 1 and 2 ohms. It's much more than HD models. Play hard and it doesn't get hot like Hds. The fan only turned on after 4 or 5 songs were played hardcore. I recommend at least a second battery. I have 2 batteries and a normal alternator. No dipped lights. This is a very efficient amplifier. Love it! Makes my car flexible! I want to buy a second one!

I heard about these Big D Wiz amps on YouTube and bought one to see what it is. When I opened the box I thought there was no way this thing could make 3k, boy was I wrong. I am currently using s1-2250 on two hds.2.12, this amp is slightly louder and takes up half the space of s1-2250. I am upset. I ordered the Smart 3k after looking at the Big D Wiz performance rating. When I got the amp one of the fans started making a strange noise every time the amp was turned on. It fed 4 kicker 2 ohm receivers. I ran Taramp 8k on 2 Orion HCCA at 1 ohm so I'm familiar with the fan noise; This sound, however, sounded like resistance. Everyone says it consumes a lot of electricity. I think I have 4 gauge wire, it might be 2 gauge, but from what I've read in the reviews everyone says it goes into protection mode unless you use a set of 3 large. I think they need to learn how to install or repair cars. I turned on the boost along with the power and ground 4 gauge bass boost wire and I can't get it to go into protection mode. Constant power is nothing new, JL Audio have been making amplifiers using this technology since the early 2000s and Rockford Fosgate also builds BDCP series constant power amplifiers into multiple ohm loads. Wow, you're talking about tremendous power, my god! If you really want to see what this monster can do, you need 0 gauge, Big 3 upgrade, 0 gauge, power and ground wires. I added a large xs battery in the trunk next to the amp, I have 2 Kicker 12" Solo Baric Subs L7 in Kicker brand vented. Kicker pre built bix specially made for maximum power and good law.
