💡 TechSmart R76001 FICM Diesel Fuel Injector Control Module Review

Firstly this is not a diesel heater. This is a FICM Boost power board for a Ford or Navistar 6.0 liter diesel engine. Second, it works great. All RCD voltages are now above 48V and my fuel economy has improved since the replacement.

This FICM had a good review and there is a video on YouTube featuring TechSmart FICM. You should be aware that you will need to remove the FICM case and replace the smaller circuit board inside. If your problem is related to low voltage on the injectors, this should solve your problem. This worked fine for me.

My truck didn't start well and I thought it would be missing when cold. I took the chance and ordered this device based on the reviews. I have driven 200 miles with the new FICM board so far and it works. The start is day and night compared to before. And I'm not sure if that's related or not, but my MPG was 1.2 MPG. So far, so good. I hope it stays that way.

My shim had low voltage on FICM WOT issue. The voltage drops to 30 VDC at WOT and then slowly rises to 48 VDC. The car starts and runs well. I bought this power supply because it is made in the USA. I paid a little more for this, but I wanted quality and not cheap to buy and repair. Buy it well or buy it twice. Very happy. The tension is perfect. I got problems when my truck stopped for a while and I started it cold, the voltage dropped to 39-42v at start. After a short drive it rose to 48-50 V and fluctuated a bit while driving. All of this was controlled with the Edge CTSII. I pulled out the FICM and just replaced it. The voltage remains at 49.5 or 50 V and the truck runs much better.
