📻 Tecsun PL Series Radio Stainless Steel Telescopic Antenna: The Perfect Replacement for Tecsun PL880, PL660, PL390, PL398, PL398BT Radios Review

I received a replacement whip antenna for my PL-880. That's the exact same antenna, stainless steel and all. However, mine had an error. The last element is slightly curved. I decided to keep it because it's not that bad so I'm giving it 3 stars. The installation is very easy. On my old antenna on the PL-880, the hinge area was completely loose, completely worn out and, as far as I know, impossible to tighten. In any case, the new antenna works perfectly apart from the defect mentioned above.

Bought this antenna to replace the broken one on my tecsun PL-380. I liked that it was made of stainless steel. Radio as it was still in order. The new antenna is an inch longer than the original but works well. It's open 40% longer than the original and feels a lot stronger, the satin fin looks great and the shortwave reception is much better. NOTE: It is 2.5 cm longer when closed and 40% longer when extended.

Antenna works fine. The only issue I had was that it was advertised as being compatible with an old Radio Shack radio. I had to get creative to make it fit. The swivel that attaches to the bottom of the antenna was too big/wide to fit in the hole where the old antenna attached to the radio. I was about to return a new antenna for a refund when it hit me. I bought this replacement after accidentally hitting the original antenna on the ceiling and bending it slightly. This new one works just like the original. Cosmetic differences: The original antenna was chromed on the outside. This one is clearly (stainless?) steel and not chrome. The original antenna extends and retracts smoothly. The specs mention that it's made of stainless steel with enhanced sensitivity and measures 39.5 inches when fully extended, 3.75 inches taller than the original. This antenna is also ideal for Tecsun PL-600 and PL-680. I have Tecsun PL-600, 660, 680 and 880 radios. (I'm a bit of a radio collector.) Overall I replaced the original antenna with this antenna. It wasn't really necessary, but I like the fact that this antenna is slightly longer than the original (it doesn't matter when it comes to reception) and that this antenna is stainless steel. Highly recommended if you need a replacement antenna for your Tecsun radio. Just make sure it fits your Tecsun

I bought these thinking there was a standard size for a radio antenna. It was the right length, I assumed it would be the right diameter. for my Eton radio. You can do it for Eton Traveler III. Note, however, that this is not a direct replacement.
