DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT

I used this to polish a stainless steel pan. This isn't the first time I've done this and it always works. The first thing that happened was the shape of the cone, which flattened into a disc. Instantly. Then the wires started flying off. I checked the speed of my Dremel tool and it was low enough that none of this should have happened. I didn't use it for more than a minute or two and it wore out completely. Sent back on the day of receipt.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Very expensive

Cheap because of the best abrasives and finishes

I bought them for jewelry making. Brass brush wheels in their class gave a pretty premium finish. Other reviews say they are tougher. This could explain why the finish is matte. My biggest concern was the oil spreading over the tips of the bristles when using the wheels. I can only assume that there is oil residue from production in the hub. But it left my work oily and messy. I'll spend the money and get the Dremel version next time.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Arrived on time, see advertisement. DO NOT run them at high speed but at LOW speed. They'll stretch and wear down and shoot shit in your eyes and face on a high speed Dremel. Live and learn, use it at LOW speed or they will harm you and others and ruin what you are working on. Remember it's junk, but work and high speed will spin them and turn them into microfiber metal darts for your eyes, face, hands, people, things, etc.

  • Amazing

Good brush for the price.

When I bought these brushes they were $7.99 for a pack of ten, so they were only about 79 cents each. Considering the cheap price I would give them 4 stars. You can only expect them to last 5-10 minutes with gentle to moderate buffing, and significantly less with harder pressure. Brass is soft enough to clean most metals without scratching in my experience and they seem ideal for removing rust from small tools etc. They certainly aren't synonymous with high-quality brass brushes, which are…

Wrong for my paint removal project

I bought these wire brushes to use a dremel to remove paint from window hardware. They didn't remove paint down to bare metal and wore out quickly. I thought I could use them instead of heating and scraping them but the paint didn't come off. At first I thought the brush would work because I could feel the shavings flying and hitting my arms and face. But it turned out that not the crumbs flew away, but the wire brushes flew out of the cup. I used the dremel at the lowest speed - apparently I…

Would I buy again?: Yes.

I was VERY skeptical about buying them because the price was a lot lower, but the price was so low that if they saved me money over the years, no more, I'd rather win than lose to pay - a dollar for a brand name. I bought this along with a couple of other Dremel brushes. I haven't noticed any difference in performance between either brand for the work I've been using them on (can't comment beyond performance). I used them to remove rust from a motorcycle I am restoring. I used Naval Jelly to…

My company publicly recommended this product. It's good.

That's what my husband said in a review of this product. This product is all I will be using from now on. I've been using them for about a year now. I have a small repair and restoration shop near Chicago and use it almost every day. I go through a lot of wire brushes every week. Big brands lose just as much (always use eye protection!) if not more, but at 10,000rpm it's really not that bad and doesn't cause painful "splinters" like big brands. I also bought TEMO Round and 1/4 inch Brush Pens…
