Not exactly a gigabit switch.

My internet speed recently increased to 400 MB. I had to take advantage of this since my network is gigabit. However, I was still only able to get 100 megabytes. After much testing and isolating the elements on the local network, I found shorter cables and replaced cat5 with cat8, increasing the speed to 240MB. Still not 400 megabytes. I believe the switch is having signal strength issues and needs the best possible connections. After upgrading my cables, the problem wasn't completely resolved,

Didn't help, replacement didn't help either.

Purchased based on reviews to replace my aging 10/100 switch. Connected three computers and two printers. Only there is a power indicator and a connection indicator. Failed to ping one of the devices and the internet service. I swapped the cable to the router for a new one, no change. Disconnect all devices and then connect them one by one to fix the error. Nada. (Note: the instructions were for a five port switch, it's an eight port switch. It showed the router was connected to port 5, so I…

My speeds just don't seem to be where they should be. I've tried moving the wires to see if there's a difference and it's getting worse. I can run a speed test without it and get 260-300Mbps, but when I plug it in I get 60Mbps. This is connected to incoming port 1. If I like incoming port 5 or 8 then it slows down to a drawing, from 8 to 10Mbps. I bought it to connect my network in my house. I'll put it in the attic and use it to power ethernet for 2 game consoles, 2 desktops, a TV and a WiFi…

double click? for computers and accessories

I almost sent it back because it didn't work. When unpacked everything looked fine, no problem. It's just a switch, right? I connected the electricity. No problem. I plugged in 5 ethernet cables, all connected with no problems. The only problem I had was no connection between any devices. I disabled the uplink and connected directly to one of the devices, a solid connection. I connected the same uplink to all devices separately and everything worked. The problem is in the switch. Well I…
