Had to change battery when it arrived but otherwise worked great. I grilled the steaks the day I got this and they turned out great! I like that there is a table on the packaging that lists the types of temperature for different types of meat.

This meat thermometer is very easy to use and read. I like that it's a little bigger than the last one I had because I could check the temperature of the chicken I was cooking without removing it from the oven. I really like that it takes regular AAA batteries because the latter are also the same round watch batteries and I never had them on hand when I needed them. I highly recommend this one!

Used a thermometer to know when the turkey meatballs were cooked, wanted the meatballs to heat to 160 degrees. The meatballs seemed to be taking a lot longer to bake than usual but the thermometer it read 88 degrees. The meatballs looked horribly overcooked and I used another digital thermometer and it read 200 degrees! The first thermometer I worked on for a day or two and then just gave up. The seller quickly replaced it with another one. Bought this meat thermometer on a lightning deal. Before it stopped working properly I would give it a 4/5. It's easy to use, reads temperatures quickly and accurately, and the bottle opener is a nice touch.
