Great easy to fit bike rack

Great bike rack! I used this on my Subaru Forester to transport two bikes from Chicago to New York. It was very easy to install with written instructions (also watched a few videos online) and stayed in place perfectly for a 900 mile trip. I checked the straps when we stopped about every 4 hours and they were always in place, even in the snow and about 80mph no problem. Absolutely to recommend

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not sure

Don't trust belts

I have a Lincoln MKZ and this item was recommended for my car. The trunk is pretty solid for regular city streets, but I wouldn't recommend this product alone if you're going for a long freeway trip unless you have other mechanisms to stabilize and attach it to your car. I've been using this product for about 3 months and I'm having trouble attaching the straps to my bike. I was doing an overland trip to various cities and national parks and early in the trip I had to buy other straps and…

Cross Country Travel

I have just completed the last 2806 miles of country driving with this bike rack. our bikes on our 2012 Prius V (hatchback with spoiler). Installation We have two adult bikes, one male, one female, both medium weight. Installing the trunk took about 15 minutes. !After reading the previous review I was a bit concerned that the bike holder would fall apart if I was stuck in DC traffic. No problem. This bike rack has withstood DC traffic, torrential rains in the mountains of Pennsylvania, very…

I wouldn't buy it for exterior accessories

I bought this for my 2016 Chevy Malibu (which is compatible) and damn it was a trick to assemble. I went through the manual to put it together but it was extremely difficult because 3/4 of the manual was in a different language. The pictures and descriptions were very confusing and it took me about half an hour to put them together. When I finally got it together and clipped it to the back of my car I found I was missing one of the bottom straps and then realized they had sent me someone's…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other options

Decent rack but not the best Thule

I have a Thule roof rack, bike rack, ski rack and luggage boxes. love them all So this one was a little disappointing. First, unless you have a big bike, you're going to have a hard time cramming it into this rack. I'm 5'11" and have a 54cm road bike and it fits just right. My wife's bike is 49cm long and I really have to turn it upside down to put it on. I think this multi bike rack will suit Secondly, it ONLY fits three bikes (I have the three bikes) I was only able to do this by arranging…

Reliable Thule product, works well with Mazda 3

works well with my Mazda 3 (2008). Thule's instructions actually limit the Mazda 3 (2008) to just a 2-bike version of the 910XT, but the mounting mechanism and all components are the same on the 910XT and 911XT, with the exception of the length of the tube the bikes hang from. I now only use the 911XT for two bikes but wanted an extra third just in case my young child's bike would fit on it. next year or when we switch to another vehicle that also officially supports 911XT. This holder is very…

Dangerous Secondhand

Thule has great products. This isn't one of them. Dangerous. During the 30 minutes of the ride we checked out our new bikes (an XL and a medium). Upon immediate inspection, we found a bike was hanging from one of the three straps. One of the straps was still attached to Thule's arm, but the other fell off while driving. We were concerned that the bikes would fall onto the freeway and possibly collide with the car in front. Thanks to a local hardware store we were able to secure the bikes by…

Not suitable for all bicycles

Unfortunately returned. We typically transport our bikes using a hitch carrier and our half-ton polyurethane truck. But we want to save truck miles and transport bikes in our Buick Encore, which is also a lot cheaper to drive. I did a lot of research and figured this stretcher would work. It was easy to set up and easy to install on the machine. The problem occurred when trying to park the bikes. We have Trek steel frame hybrid mountain bikes. I had to buy adapters for both (men's and women's…
