I called TomTom customer service and after a few days and emails they informed me that my device was made for use in Canada. I live in the US and bought it from Revain.com. The product itself is a pretty good device and works well for most things. Live traffic worked well but maybe a bit slow. I was in a traffic accident when I-81 was closed. The accident lasted long enough for the state to put up electronic signs 20 miles before the closure warning.
