Topeak MTX Trunk Dry Bag - Black Waterproof Storage Bag (15x9.4x10.2-Inch) Review

Another product for use with Topeak's great rail. I bought this bag because it is waterproof. I wanted a bag to carry things with me, but not so big that it would cover the sides of a bike or a laptop. This bag is good for that. The bag comes with a decent shoulder strap but with little padding. It's easy to put on, grab the strap and keep messing around. The downside is that the belt slacks a bit and I rub the wheel (which ripped it). It must be removed or wrapped a little. Not the worst…

This is a fantastic all weather commute bag. I am in the process of replacing the old silver gray version of this bag (second photo) after commuting with it daily for 9+ years. The side zippers on my silver bag were just beginning to fail, but I had no other issues with them. A note: the product image shows a matte black case, but it is gloss black. I can't say anything about the durability of this item because I ONLY received it and tried it out - easy purchase/procurement. It attached very easily to my Topeak Explorer bike rack (with spring), no problem, and what interested me the most was the quick release. Thread a Velcro cable tie through the buckle and attach to the front of the rack for added security (see photo).
