Great bag, wish it had a security lock.

This suitcase bag is perfect for my needs. I love the locking mechanism on the MTX, which allows me to put the luggage on and off very quickly. My wife and I can also exchange luggage components on our compatible luggage racks very quickly. This particular bag is very roomy but then expands even more to allow you to carry a lot of gear. If I expand the main compartment with the zip, I can comfortably store my helmet there. (See the photos I've uploaded to this site.) I'm not sure I'll be using…

Definitely worth the money

So I bought a bike because I wanted to ride my bike to work about once a week. (It's about 20 miles round trip) I was looking for something that was inexpensive but good quality and would hold all my shit for the day. I'm so glad I got this. There's plenty of room for groceries, clothes, shoes, shower essentials, a laptop and more without the need for an extension cord. It attaches very securely to the frame and the baskets pull together really well. I haven't had any problems the few times…

Easy to put on and take off, maybe too easy

I bought this bag to have a bag for multiple bikes. I'm not a fan of weight, but this setup is definitely heavier than the Trek bag and Jaand rack I had. This setting was a pain to toggle on and off. It's a no-brainer. However, I'm buying my second bag right now since the first one shows up. You must be careful to put the bag in place. I didn't even do it and the bag jumped out of my driveway. This time the bag was secured as best as possible as it was on my bike when the bike was flipped. The…

Heavy and bulky - Cycling

First, the quality of the bag is good, so no problem. I was disappointed with this weight. This bag only weighs 3 pounds. Add the weight of the rack (Topeak Explorer Pack - 3lbs) and you have an extra 6lbs hanging off your back. I know it sounds weird but I really struggled to maneuver the bike with all that weight on my back. I thought it would be a good touring setup but decided to ditch this thing or at least put it aside for something else. I like the attachment system that slides in and…

Fantastic bag but doesn't fit ladies bike frames

I am very disappointed that after spending so much effort and money to get a new pannier rack for my bike I decided to use this bag as a trunk can use, am very disappointed * ONLY * fits on my bike. When I adjusted the trunk to the angle specified in the instructions, the trunk bag wouldn't snap into place because my seat was in the way. This is the case on a Specialized hybrid with the seat post almost fully extended. I ended up having to loosen one of the screws holding each rack post to the…

Should only be used for road cycling, not for mountain biking!

First off, Topeak products are generally exceptional. I wanted the Tetra M2 combo carrier and this bag to work well on my full suspension bike. Installation: When installing the stand, I was a little disappointed with the difficulty of the installation. You need to loosen 6 screws and adjust to the bike. You have to buckle the straps around the frame, and here came the frustration: The rubber bushings that go between the frame and the uprights kept falling out when I tried to align the uprights

I own two of these.

.and I am very happy with both. I bought the first one in 2014 and abused it like it wasn't made to be abused. I probably have a 5000-6000km commute and another 5000-6000km with this gear. Every day for almost 6 years I've been lugging around a set (2) ABUS Granit City 1060 chains weighing 3.791 kg (8.34 lb) and 2.694 kg (5.93 lb) respectively (you can steal my bike but you will). That takes a lot of work.) I buy groceries from them and when I travel I probably stuff 30-40kg in with all my…

Execution errors ruin a great concept

Here I take a different perspective and give my opinion on the "cons". After reading several 5 star reviews you will find many "pros" and I agree there are! Here are the main runtime errors as I see them. Neither of these are a deal breaker, but the combination paints a cost-cutting picture that I find objectionable at this price point: - no rain cover included - zips not closed - other reviews disagree but trust me on this one - zips are CHEAP - NOT all zippers have two pulls. Extension zip is

Comfort over quality

I bought an MTX DXP duffel bag and an Explorer duffel bag for overnight commuting and biking. Here is my review after a few days of ownership. Topeak currently makes two sets of MTX line bags/racks, EXP and DXP. I initially bought the EXP for about $34 less, but quickly decided it was too small for my purposes. In truly amazing evidence of excellent customer service, Revain agreed to collect the EXP, which I had already used twice - no questions asked - sent me a prepaid return label and mailed
