Best yet!: Protective gear

This is my 4th helmet since 2010. I've had a Bell half helmet - nice but not enough protection for my liking. I had TWO HJCs - EXCELLENT quality, one was 3/4 (my favorite for sheer comfort) but felt like my chin was probably worth saving as well; and a full face - stylish and definitely durable/safe - but difficult to put on and take off especially with my glasses and fits so I can't smile. Try to drive without smiling! This TORC is the perfect solution! The modularity allows you to easily turn

5 star guarantee given the price range

My previous helmet was an old worn IV2 modular helmet so keep that in mind. If you are from Shoei then yes some of these reviews are correct when they say it is 'cheap' and 'noisy'. However, I will say that for the price, this is one of the best Bluetooth headsets out there. Other reviews are correct in that you should buy a size up. My IV2 was medium and this helmet was large and they are almost identical in size. The speakers are very good in the city and on a 80 km/h desert highway, but wind

READ THIS - YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT BLUETOOTH VERSION!

Lots of reports of people throwing away helmets because they can't get bluetooth to work between helmets. PEOPLE - AMAZON OCCASIONALLY SUPPLIES HELMETS WITH DIFFERENT BLUETOOTH VERSIONS. I ordered one in November and it's BT 3.0, then I ordered one in July and it came BT 2.0. THEY DON'T TALK TO EACH OTHER. They will both connect equally well to the device (phone etc.) but will not communicate with each other internally. So make sure you get 2 of a kind. My advice is DO NOT order from Amazon, go

Very comfortable, good value helmet with good bluetooth

This helmet is very light and protects better from background noise than previous helmets I've had. At first it doesn't seem to fit very well. Something hit me in the forehead and left marks. I pressed on the foam which seemed to smooth out the pointy part and now it fits perfectly. I like to listen to music from my iPhone. I can adjust the volume and skip tracks forward or backward in my playlist. I haven't used it for telephoning on the go - only from my living room to try it out. Worked well

Very poor quality - protective gear

I would really like to give a better rating but I just can't, I was really hoping that this Hellmuth would be 'the ONLY one'. First of all I can't really judge the comfort as the seller sent me the wrong size, I ordered M and they sent me L. So I put it on first and understand that it doesn't fit, I opened modular face and it doesn't work. stay up and i find it weird so i called the manufacturer and they confirmed it was defective and should have stayed. I understand from other comments that…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Speed

I confess that before the appearance of this helmet I was skeptical. I've had over 30 helmets, ranging from expensive Japanese models to inexpensive models from different companies. I knew very little about torque. I was looking for a modular helmet with built in Bluetooth and found the options to be limited. Now that I have received and wear this model I am amazed at the price. This is one of the most stylish modular helmets I've seen. Its aesthetics and body profile make it look like a…

I like it, but not perfect.

Modular helmets are the best! I ride with an MC in Hawaii and helmets are not required here but my wife started riding with me and she wanted to wear a helmet so I figured I'd buy one too and both with blutooth so we can travel around talk over the intercom. I'm also a musician, so having melodies was appealing. I wasn't sure about the size so I went to my local motorcycle shop and tried on some of these. It depends on the brand, so I bought the TORC T27 in a large size first. If it suited me…

Hard to beat for the price!

I bought this helmet because of Bluetooth and because I already had another Torc 27 with BT and wanted to pair them. BT works well and I can hear most of my audio and GPS even at higher speeds when riding a motorcycle with a windshield. If not, then it becomes questionable from 60 km/h. With the windshield on, I hear all of this at speeds of up to 100 mph, about as loud as rolling down the windows in a car with the radio at normal volume. You'll hear it, but the details start to blur a little…
