The best investment I've made in my home network in a long time.

After reading a lot of online reviews about mesh networks and the crap people have been through, I took the plunge and decided to give this TP-Link a try. It received excellent ratings in online reviews. WOW. YOU SHOULD GET THIS. it was so easy to set up. Perfect for a 2.5 gig network and my 1 gig fiber. The second block is also easy to set up. I have cameras on every corner of the house outside, these blocks are at each end of the house. 0 dead zones, 0 lags, everything just works. The phone…

Really terrible mesh router

Had to return this mesh system. This was a real disappointment. The biggest problem is that your private "home" network cannot be assigned more than one SSID. I have over 100 Wi-Fi devices. My low power devices operate in the 2GHz band called "Home2g" while my computers and more powerful devices operate in the 5GHz band with the SSID "Home". They must all be on the same network, but a "split SSID" configuration is not supported at all. Every other router I've had in the last ten years has…

Amazing Wi-Fi Mesh System

I had a good Asus AX6000 router prior to this system but after switching from Spectrum Cable to TDS Fiber my router could no longer stand in the middle of the house. I had to move it to a fiberglass box in the far corner of the house. This meant poor signal and speed at the other end of the house. Since I couldn't move the fiber optic box due to the finished basement, I had no choice but to try a mesh WiFi system. I wanted to get a newer one that uses AX/Wifi 6 so I can get good speeds anywhere

Garbage. Don't waste money and time.

Terrible product. Terrible service. Would give 0 stars here if I could. Set up the routers quickly and they worked great until I updated the firmware recommended in the Deco app. Followed the firmware update instructions to a letter and the network never had an internet connection again. Follow the in-app instructions to fix the problem. That does not work. I called TP Link. After a hang, I spent 40 minutes with Jerry trying various solutions, none of which stalled the internet again. He…

X90 and M5 in mesh

I have been using Deco products for many years, most recently using M5 mesh. According to the specification, the M5 must offer 500 Mbit/s WLAN speed at all times. This mesh ran on top of an Ethernet backhaul due to the shared wireless backhaul. But even with a wired connection, it kept dropping below 200Mps, quite randomly but noticeably. I have changed my cable modem several times, cable modem/router is in bridge mode. So I decided to upgrade to the X90 which is overkill for the service I…

slow performance and poor range, no grip

I was reluctant to try them because I don't like the design and I didn't want either of them to be visible on both floors of my house. However, I've tried systems from several other manufacturers to no avail, and this system has auto-sensing multi-gigabit ports (very annoying that nobody has multi-gigabit WANs and LANs). Setup was easy, far better than any system I've tried. The only problem was that the second block was linked to the main block before I got to that step in the app, so I was…

It works! X90 works better than Netgear Orbi 3 Satellite WiFi

I bought X90 as a replacement for Netgear Orbi 3 Pack Wifi 6 Triband (Rbk 753) The reason I did this was because I wanted the WiFi range didn't see/performance what I was hoping for. Also, the Netgear control panel wasn't set up properly, some features like parental controls weren't available. So my house is a one-story, 2,700-square-foot house with plywood under drywall, or so-called see-through walls. Clear walls are thicker and harder for optimal Wi-Fi signal transmission compared to houses…
