Can cover a large area.

I wanted to be able to connect to WiFi in a barn covered in galvanized steel panels about 40 meters from the hotspot in the house. The signal was measured at around -80dBm near the door and even worse behind it. I could barely tweet, let alone look at pictures or videos. I installed the CPE210 on a pipe in the corner of a shed and configured it to work as a repeater. When I checked the signal in the barn it was -57dBm, a big improvement! I was able to plug in an Echo Dot in the shed and stream…

GREAT hardware - pathetic instructions

First, you will need your own Cat-45 network cables as this unit does NOT provide them. connected to a secondary SSID that I set up and I have a Smart TV, Xbox, iMac, iPhone and iPad connected with full bands). The IP address range is 192.168.0.xxx. Many routers use 192.168.1.xxx. Therefore, you need to configure TP-Link so that the IP address is in the range of your ROUTER so that it can broadcast the secondary SSID. This is done manually using another desktop/laptop that is physically…

Powerful, fast and reliable. In this order.

These devices are just amazing. I'm currently using them in several applications - one of which provides Wi-Fi coverage at my aunt's cabin about 1.3 miles away with almost line of sight (shaded only by very light vegetation on either side). We downloaded over 94 Mbit/s from the internet in her cabin. In this case we use one of these devices on both ends. Using their MaxStream TDMA technology gave us almost identical speeds but seemed to offer much better latency and it took a lot less time for…

the first product that made me write a review. it is so good!

So, straight to it, I'm connecting to a regular WiFi router at a neighbor's house. I've used different antennas, a huge 24db tplink antenna (mech), a cantenna (my favourite) and now this. The cantenna I used and the tplink atheros USB adapter worked fine but were still not reliable in signal. I unpacked the bad boy, put it in client mode and tried to get a wireless signal. Perfect shit. This thing won about 30 networks. Things I've never seen before. I didn't even have it outside, I just…

how much do i love it Let me count the routes

I needed wifi in my office which is in a metal building 200 feet from my house. Tried many things, connecting WiFi extenders, cell phone hotspot, hotspot antennas, whatever. Nothing will work. I work in IT, so I was particularly frustrated that I couldn't find a solution. Just when I was about to give up, I came across this product. I read reviews and watched YouTube videos. Because the price was so cheap I figured it wouldn't work somehow, but I figured I'd give it a try anyway. That was…

So far so good

So far so good. Those who wrote that the installation was too complicated, well I don't know what to say about that. If it was too difficult, maybe they should have consulted with help. I've worked in IT for 10 years, specifically in networking, and I programmed a Cisco enterprise-class wireless network from the command line, so it was very easy. The settings are intuitive and easy to set up. Use it to broadcast wirelessly to a rec room in my garage. Previously, I couldn't make a connection…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Everything went smoothly with the installation and setup, except for one small thing; During the online setup, which is short and simple, TP-Link's instructions recommend checking the "MAXstream" box. After spending some time getting worked up about my phone not connecting to the network even though I could see it and the signal strength was full, I finally found an online thread on TP community support that said that wireless clients will not do this if you check this box connect to the same…

  • Excellent design
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

More than satisfied with wireless access points

I bought two 2.4GHz 9dBi antennas. I needed to send high-speed broadband internet to a family member's house that could only receive DSL. I've had them installed for a week now and am very happy with their performance. First, the installation is very easy. However, if you are confused, TP-Link has a great tutorial video on their website and YouTube. The main reason I chose this product over others was a review I read where the user was able to get a great signal in the woods. In my application…
