Looks great for AV accessories

Post install update: A few weeks ago my old antenna completely melted in a hurricane. I installed a new antenna over the weekend and am very satisfied. The reception on 700/800/900 MHz has been greatly improved. UHF also improved, but not as much as at higher frequencies. The small VHF and VHF-Lo I programmed also seem to be better. It's a bit surprising that this scanner is a little less visible than the old one. Which I don't care but might make the neighbors happier. Definitelyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 25/1300MHz broadband reception
Cons
  • old

Totally impressed with this little antenna

Tram makes two discons. 1411 has one pin and two longer radials while 1410 has no pin and has same size radials. Which do you choose? How As you can see from the pictures I have both I chose 1410 instead of 1411 because it doesn't have a pin that would interfere with the antenna above it by overlapping I use it with a Uniden SDS100 scanner and I receive AM traffic at the airport, my local trunked radio system, APCO's 700MHz trunked network for law enforcement and UHF/VHF emergency response Iโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 8 lower radials 32 3/4"
Cons
  • Safety

This antenna is great value for the price paid.

I installed this antenna in the attic of a one story house and ran 100ft of RG6 Quad Shield cable. Using a UHF male to F female adapter I was able to connect the RG6 to the antenna and then to my Uniden scanner on the other end as well as my USB ATSC TV tuner adapter. The antenna can receive almost all FM radio, VHF and UHF TV broadcasts in my city, as well as multiple ham radio bands, air traffic controllers, GMRS/MURS, NOAA weather broadcasts from cities up to 70 miles away. , railwaysโ€ฆ

Pros
  • UHF Jack (SO-239)
Cons
  • Damaged

Totally impressed with this little antenna

Tram makes two disco cones. The 1411 has a whip and two longer radials, while the 1410 has no whip and all radials are the same size. what do you choose Judging by the photo I have both. I chose 1410 over 1411 because it doesn't have a pin that would detune the antenna above it due to overlap. I use it with a Uniden SDS100 scanner and capture airport AM traffic, my local trunked transit system, APCO's 700MHz trunked network for law enforcement, and the UHF/VHF trunked network for emergencyโ€ฆ
