Easy installation, works as it should.

I like the easy external cable routing. Some other cheaper IV poles have a cord connection point just below the seat, which means the cord will get tangled if the seat falls off. This dropper has a connection point near the seat tube and does not move when the seat is down to avoid tangling the cable. I settled on a Crank Bros. dropper arm, which cost a little more but fitted my BBSHD to eBike conversion well and didn't get in the way of the throttle grip next to it. Works smoothly as expected.

High quality, smooth operation, affordable price

Media could not be loaded. This is my first hardtail mountain bike that I bought brand new. I love my bike, but it only had one downside: it doesn't allow for an internal dropper post. I took a chance and bought this Trans X external dropper seatpost. I also bought a Trans X lever (which includes the cable and cable housing). When the parts arrived I packed up my bike and rode to the local REI, paying a very small fee to have the experts properly install this dropper post. Let me tell you theyโ€ฆ

Works as advertised

For a budget dropper this works well. gave 4 stars. there is always room for improvement. The only problem with it is that it makes a "ting" noise at the top end of its stroke. for example when the M1 Garand spits out its magazine after the 8th round. I'm pretty sure this can be solved with some kind of internal buffer. I needed an external 170mm for my old hardtail. One ride down so far. I don't expect any issues with it, but if there are any the 2 year warranty should cover that. I suspectโ€ฆ
