Not as described. The product looks like you have traction, although it is still slippery in socks. The carpet is too smooth, should be more Berber. I didn't install it, just put it on the step to test and pressed it with my hands.

These things are AMAZING! We just moved into a two story house with quite steep stairs. After a few short calls I tried good old Amazon and my goodness what a surprise. I still don't like my stairs but the sketch level has fallen below what I could have hoped for. Eat clear! Even my little one can easily walk on it.

Advantages: The steps look like the pictures and blend harmoniously with the wood of the stairs. We were able to install them quickly. They are pleasant to walk on. Cons: They don't stick well to wooden stairs. The steps stretch so they don't look very good over time. The sticky substance on the back doesn't seem to last very long. Everything sticks to the steps so they need a lot of vacuuming.

These products are easy to peel off, but the adhesive is not very strong, easy to peel off and no longer stick. They also don't really look like "rugs" but rather like compacted felt with a sticky backing. They also wear out insanely fast - the photo I posted shows the "rugs" after only three weeks of use. Overall, this is not a product for people who want something durable.

Got these covers for my stairs as my daughter (11) keeps falling down the stairs, I also bought them for my dog. They come folded but not too bad, no creases or anything. My floors are hardwood so I just used a faster rag, cleaned the stairs really well and they adhered with no problem! And you can remove and re-paste multiple times. Just received them, not sure how long they will last. If I delete I will give an update in a few weeks so you all know. In general I recommend.

These steps are exactly what we needed, a temporary solution for our older dog who loses confidence on our stairs. The rug itself is a lot softer than I expected and the print adds a bit of brightness. I'm also pleasantly surprised at how much they block out noise.
